Thought I'd start a thread for these as there isn't one on ADVFN.

MAMA are a small entertainment co. Basically they promote musical groups and stage live music events. They own the venues and they also have a music magazine. Lots of things seem to involve the word "Fly" for some reason, after the reverse takeover with Stonethrow and the forner Compass Media.

At the interims the company was talking the talk:

"Commenting, Adam Driscoll and Dean James, Co-Chief Executives, said:

"The period under review included a significant acquisition which has had a transformative effect on the Company's business and prospects.

The first half of the year has of course been dominated by the acquisition of the Stonesthrow group and the management team is now focused on the growth and development of the core businesses in the second half and beyond.

Demand for live music is increasing year-on-year across all age groups. We continue to benefit from this increase in demand and we expect this trend to continue into the foreseeable future. We are the UK market leader in small live music venues and over the past 12 months have been the UK's most successful music management company. The Company has a strong asset base and is in an excellent position both to expand its existing operations and also to branch out into additional business areas which are complementary to those operations, such as music publishing.

Trading since the period-end has been in line with management expectations and we look forward to delivering full year numbers which demonstrate the strength and potential of the Group. At a time of growth and change in the music industry we are confident that we have the right businesses and assets to enable us to capitalise upon the opportunities that lie ahead."

Well perhaps they are walking the walk too. The results are due around Nov 20 if the same as last year.

Recently the Joint COO bought over 4m shares, increasing his stake by nealy 250% by buying nearly 5m shares on 24-25th Oct, about a month or so before the final results - about £150K worth.

With the price on a relative low and little or no hype in it and with there not being a thread (always a positive sign imo) I've had a small buy this am. Not that liquid, mm's deal in 25K so only had 5 times the mm size. Will add on the results if they prove to be as good as the company suggests.

Obviously the usual risk factors apply as with other small recently formed co's.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
