10/5/2012 12:41 | What else accompanies burnt bangers quite so well!? shorecrab 10 May'12 - 11:10 - 2512 of 2517 Far too big strong and heavy for a summer barby - you'll end up with a black tongue, a raging thirst and a headache. | goodgrief
10/5/2012 12:31 | This is a beaut.......... | bigbigdave
10/5/2012 12:28 | Dignac is the real macho wine, traditionally used to encourage virgins to allow deflowering- at 17.6% it certainly does the job,-- well so I believe | pierrepoint
10/5/2012 12:19 | Tasted ready to me. In fact just about perfect , one of if not the best shiraz I've had in recent years. Give it a couple of hours to breathe by a radiator to be on the safe side. | bionicdog
10/5/2012 12:15 | Indeed, and preferably needs keeping for a couple of years or four 'cos from memory I thought it wasn't ready. | shorecrab
10/5/2012 11:42 | Sounds good to me. It's more of a bottle in front of the fire on a cold night wine IMO. | bionicdog
10/5/2012 11:10 | Far too big strong and heavy for a summer barby - you'll end up with a black tongue, a raging thirst and a headache. | shorecrab
10/5/2012 10:00 | As it says, good summer BBQ stuff. | goodgrief
10/5/2012 09:58 | Down from a tenner in store to £7.11 if you buy 6 , lovely wine. | bionicdog

10/5/2012 08:04 | You could have just gone to Majestic instead. | bionicdog
10/5/2012 00:03 | I was in spain last week and tried a few of these, a very nice smooth rioja. | bamboo2
19/4/2012 19:07 | ...a quick word about the coop. I didn't like their own label cheapo sicillian red. The Casillero del Diablo Carmenere, however is lovely, at £5.99. | bamboo2
14/4/2012 15:04 | Good to hear, duc : cheers !!! | bluebelle
12/4/2012 22:26 | duc, get well soon. | bamboo2
10/4/2012 08:33 | Good stuff. Have the nose removed and carry on drinking. | bionicdog
10/4/2012 08:32 | ok, sussed it and thankfully should be temporary. Tried beer same effect. Then realised nose on left side was bunged and pain was starting around cheekbone area. I have sinusitis. "Eliminate alcohol consumption - It is amazing how even casual consumption of alcohol can cause nasal and sinus membranes to swell, exposing them to irritation and infection. Often beer is the offending drink." | ducatiman
05/4/2012 17:47 | Thanks for the replies folks. I will try anything, so thanks bionic, will give it a go. shore, I will try that too. bigbig, I have not tried other alcahol yet but have been recommended a non chemical beer to try so will pick some up at the weekend. | ducatiman
03/4/2012 16:43 | Sorry to hear ducatiman - I'd be gutted if the wine had to go. Is it just wine that is the problem? Do beer/spirits cause the same issue? | bigbigdave
03/4/2012 15:55 | Strangely I've hardly known anyone who reacts badly to wine, though my partner gets headaches from red and sticks to white. There are so many chemical compounds in wine and these days it seems possible to develop an allergy to just about anything. From what I've read it seems sulphites are unlikely to be the cause, and more likely to be histamines or something else similar sounding. It's probably not great medical advice, but you could try taking anti-histamine (hay fever tablet), wait an hour or two and then try a drink. | shorecrab
03/4/2012 15:45 | Two more experiments if you can bare it. Firstly grape juice , then alcohol free wine. | bionicdog
02/4/2012 20:46 | Well folks it looks like my wine drinking days could be over. half a glass of red tonight and within 30 mins a savage migraine on the left side. Took over an hour and 2 paracetamols before it cleared. Very strange but it is definately the wine that is the trigger. Maybe it will be temporary, I hope so as I love wine. Will mention to doc next time I am there but suppose I will be told not to drink wine then. | ducatiman |
