more buyers arriving, - i wonder how much it would take for us to see a rise similar to those in March and April. Wouldn't be hard to add 50% on to our sp, merely during this drill, and if they strike a good source, then who knows where the share price will go! small market cap, and a large working interest in a reasonably deep well with multiple target zones. Would love to hear of good pressures that far down.

Well worth repeating the RNS from 17/7, which given TD is 8-10 days, I would expect a Monday morning RNS. So yes, interest is beginning to build...

Magnolia Petroleum Plc / Index: AIM / Epic: MAGP / Sector: Oil & Gas

17 July 2015

Magnolia Petroleum Plc ('Magnolia' or 'the Company')

Commencement of Drilling 94% Owned Well in Oklahoma

Magnolia Petroleum Plc, the AIM quoted US focused oil and gas exploration and
production company, is pleased to announce that its 94% owned and operated
Shimanek #2 vertical well in Oklahoma commenced drilling on 16 July 2015.
Shimanek #2 will be drilled to a total depth ('TD') of 5,300 feet targeting
multiple conventional payzones, including the Mississippi Lime/Chat, Redfork
Sand and the Lower Skinner. The total drill time is expected to be eight to
10 days and an update will be made once TD has been reached.

Magnolia COO, Rita Whittington said, "With an estimated US$8 per barrel
operating cost, the economics of drilling the Shimanek#2 well remain highly
attractive. Thanks to having a 94% interest, this Magnolia operated well has
the potential to materially increase our proven reserves which, as at 1 January
2015, were independently estimated at 985 Mbbls of oil and 2,905 MMcf of gas.
I look forward to providing further updates on our progress as we deliver on
our strategy to prove up the reserves on our portfolio of US onshore leases,
and in the process generate significant value for our shareholders."

Everything they are doing is positive. Barrels being priced at 42 dollars. Market price between 53 - 58 dollars. good profit on every barrel.
Activity means further increase in producing wells.
Positive profits for further development without having to raise any cash.
What more do PI's want.
Future looks bright.

very true, but the share price will catch up soon.. I must admit i'm surprised we've not seen more buying this week considering we've started drilling a 94%Wi drill! This is a huge step forward for Magnolia, who are only valued at just over £7mill. Imagine what a success at this drill will do for the company, - and they are targetting multiple zones. I'm excited!

agree; just coming out of a bowl shape on the chart, quite similar to February of this year, so expecting a rise here, as drilling continues! Multiple targets and 94% WI. Potential for massive positive impact for Magnolia.

Poacher

MAGP have already sold small parcels of non-core property for a considerable profit. Meanwhile the more they prove the resources on current properties, they more valuable they get. When eventually things sell off, the share price could catapult in minutes as it moves to the sale price. Anyone caught on the short side would see their net worth incinerated (tee hee).

wow, that was sooner than i thought for the drill to start. A 94% WI well should get some interest sparked here. Great potential for the company, especially with such a low Market Cap, - wouldn't take much to get us back in the 1-1.5p region.

could do with volume picking up and getting a bit of momentum behind the share price . then look for a similar rise to the one seen in March to May.

could easily see this back up to the 0.9 region ready for the start of their own well.. 94% WI will have a great impact!

:-)

I guess its when there is so little positive comment about a stock that it can become a contrarian play. We will see

a good RNS this morning and interest appears to be building slowly, in this diversified play.

Sometimes when you run out of sellers, a contrarian play can be profitable...
