The new director appears to have already owned shares in MAGP, bought quite a few more and is being paid in shares.
Is he mad?
No, he's "a highly respected petroleum engineer and oil and gas investment specialist with over 20 years' experience in the global E&P sector."
Project valuation and optimising growth are his specialties.
If he's buying, so am I.

Reserves mean absolutely nothing they are a tool for fooling TOOLS with.

Its a scam imo.

I thought that the recent results were very good and only marred by the dilution effect of the new share offering. Both production and reserves continue to improve and the company appears to have some room for manoeuvre in the cost profile of the exploration that it undertakes. The new money raised will almost certainly lead to another rise in production and help the company towards achieving critical mass. The big unknowns remain the price achievable for both oil and gas but Magnolia is small, on dry land, quick on its feet and with a low and flexible cost base. It is the only oil share that remains in my portfolio and, although patience is required, I remain comfortable with holding it.

The company was set up for and exists to provide a lucrative living for the Directors.
