no true dilution here Elland, as the extra money pumped in has gone on new produceing assets, yes you have a smaller % of the mms but it is now larger and is digging stuff out of the ground, not like they are pee-ing it up the wall like a normal dilution .....

Not sure why anything should take more than 6 months. Firebird had no problem buying the assets in the first place and they were overseas to SA and Kenya.
But, having said that, fluorspar is still strong, Sallies must be getting some cash in, etc. We'll even see the Sallies figures in September. So all in all I'm quite happy. But let's come back one day, please!

Now then reg, don't be like that! They say she will be re-list, it is just taking longer than thought, it is NOT like a co that has run out of dosh, far from it! Of course they could take it all private or never re-list, but they have not crossed us yet and you need to trust some people ...........

looks like we will be in limbo for another 3 months or so.

given the currnt state of the market, and the mining sector in particular, this may not be a bad thing. at least we're locked in to a company that seems to be developing itself steadily.

I doubt China will change their policy. I notice zinc is part of it, but the zinc price is nothing to write home about at the moment, so I don't see what the fuss is about.

There was definitely no website for Berkh-ull some short time ago.

Berkh-ull is another of Firebird's Fluorspar investments ( they have around 53% )



Nothing on it yet, presume website in creation.

Appointed in April, around the same time Firebird took control with 53%



Have for a very long time held the belief that Firebird's Mongolian Fluorspar activities would in some way or other be eventually listed outside of Mongolia. Could it also being coming our way at some stage. Berkh-Ull also has coal but that could be divested to one or another of Firebird's Coal investee Co's in Mongolia.

Dunbar is the main man on the ground, as I see it, what he says - goes; He is the one that is the main mining engineer/geologist/project manager; I also feel he is very trusted by the rest of the board .........

Change of Non-Executive Chairman

Mr Linnell has tendered his resignation as non-executive Chairman of the Company. Mr Linnell will remain a non-executive director of the Company. The Board has accordingly appointed Mr Davidoff as non-executive Chairman. This decision follows the signing of the agreements to acquire Firebird's interests in Sallies and KFC announced previously and reflects the increased emphasis on these projects in the Company's future.

I have previously speculated here that one option for Firebird/MMS is to split off zinc & lead with possibily Linnell involved in the new entity. We shall see. BTW Linnell is also chair of Coal of Africa

The controllers here are all connected to Firebird and are Davidoff, Passin and Gourlay. Dunbar Dales ?? We will see. Still think we are in line for further corporate action other than announced already. We will soon see, no doubt.

There are 6 people on the board of Sallies, presumably some who haven't already done so will join the Maghreb board. Linnell is probably not needed in the new set up. Tends to happen with RTOs.
