I think 100k tpa was about the maximum KFC could handle, so looks like demand is strong so Sallies should be shifting a similar amount by now, and coming later they'll be getting better prices since a lot of these contracts are negotiated long term.
Then there's Fluorone Trading that will be handling a lot of the business.

thanks godolphin,
100,000 tonnes, 400 workers, we own 20% (so long as the Sallies deal goes through) that makes a 20,000 tonnes net to mms luvly !!

topup, I certainly want this to re-float,like I have said before, I would like to topup!!

I also think if we go over the 6mths, I am not certain it is a automatic de-listing so long as the co issue a good reason like the slow takeover, merger, with Sallies.
If it does de-list I have no fear my holdings as they would be no different to the boards, but we would not know what was going on as they would not need to tell us anything. That is the drawback.

Aopologies if I twisted anybodys knickers by trying to clarify a piece of terminology.
I was trying to clearly understand what cancellation meant, not suggesting that I thought it likely.

As for the rant....bodypart comparisons aside, Im glad to see there is someone out there with an strong opinion:)

Acta_topup Interested to hear your thoughts on what will happen on readmission

Perhaps we are getting our knickers in a twist, this is what the board said in the half year report on 31.3 11

-- "The Company continues to work with its advisers on the preparation of an AIM admission document in respect of the proposed acquisitions from Firebird which constitute a reverse takeover. The company expects to be able to publish this document in the second quarter of 2011"

Why say that then? Would it not be better to say noght if you were going to pull the rug from under all the other shareholders ?

There would also be alot of folk in the company with options that would be a little upset to say the least !!

Now they could be paid off of course, but why upset people at this stage?
Also it would be harder to conclude the deal with Sallies .........

Having re-read that, presumably they can inform the exchange without informing PIs.

Section on Cacellation from the AIM Rules document at...

so presumably if that had happened we may have seen something already.

Cancellation
41. An AIM company which wishes the Exchange to cancel admission of its AIM securities
must notify such intended cancellation and must separately inform the Exchange of its
preferred cancellation date at least twenty business days prior to such date and save
where the Exchange otherwise agrees, the cancellation shall be conditional upon the
consent of not less than 75% of votes cast by its shareholders given in a general meeting.
The Exchange will cancel the admission of AIM securities where these have been
suspended from trading for six months.
Cancellations are effected by a dealing notice.

well it could happen, but as godolphin has said, it would be harder to buy out other companies, and of course the free float is now a tiny amount as they own the bulk of mms already ....... no one could bid for mms so that risk is not there either .......

and what does being cancelled mean?
borisimo
03/6/2011
22:06
Yes. We don't know why they decided to wait, so it could be they will prefer to stay unlisted until some event which we don't know. Macquaries will probably prefer a listing though, and to get more fluorspar assets with shares would better done with a listing and higher prices.
So, imo we will here something soon, if only to tell us we'll be cancelled!

So if the six month rule applies we should hear before or on 24th June? even though the end of the second quarter is the end of june.

Is that right?

6 months means they get cancelled. A few weeks to go and the management obviously know, so I would hope we'll get something soon. I would guess they don't need a listing for what they're doing at the moment.

============

Update on the Readmission Process
Further to the announcements on 24 December 2010 concerning the proposed acquisitions of interests in Sallies
Limited and Kenya Fluorspar Limited (collectively the "Acquisitions"), the company wishes to update the shareholders
on progress towards finalising these transactions and readmitting the Company to the AIM Market. The Acquisitions
constitute a reverse takeover of the Company for the purposes of the AIM Rules for Companies. The Company is
currently working with its advisers on the preparation of an AIM admission document which it expects to be able to
publish before the end of the second quarter of 2011.

I don't think there's many new fluorspar sources coming online in the next year or so. So prices should stay high. China will, no doubt, reduce production again. Mongolia expected to take over? There's a lot of work needed there. Let's hope Zriba is a viable project - they seemed keen in 2006 when the price was half what it is now!
