A bit of activity on the trades front today, all buys as I see it except the 250k @0.29p. On the Vivendi front it looks like NBC are now the firm favourites according to latest reports. Apparently Bronfmans tactics may have backfired by rubbishing NBC bid, should be clear by tomorrow.

That site ( pkstocks... ) you found contains just a few cut 'n' pastes from various RNS releases - there's nothing new. I'm not knocking the site - if it helps Patrick ( he's a fairly regular and long-serving poster over on iii ) make sense of it all then fine. But I'd suggest it would make more sense to read the documents in their entirety. It's perhaps also worth pointing out that even though I've had only a quick glance, I've already spotted there is some misleading ( i.e. factually incorrect ) information - specifically dates for AGM's and so on.

As a general comment, for items like RNS releases, always get it from the official sources. If you don't you risk missing bits that have perhaps been edited out, or worse still altered. I'm not suggesting for one minute this has happened on the pkstocks site, but I've seen some real dodgy ones in my time. Beware!

Incidentally, with my broker it cost me £10 to transfer a few of my shares from a nominee account to a share certificate. A small price to pay to ensure you get all offical company documetation through your letterbox?

Thanks for your post and reply. Its good to have civilised posts and posters unlike some who are posting currently on the OMH bb. I think i remember seeing you over on that board. Good luck to all MBF holders onwards and upwards i hope.

It's not pre-trading, it was at 0.41 all day yet the deals are done below mid.

The same happened to me with Newcastle United back in April. The advertised price was 27 -31 but my buy went through at 28. I put it down to mm's trying to discourage buying for a while although one or more had stock. I assume these mm's have a rough sort of gentlemen's agreement to sort of leapfrog each other as the price moves up or down. I guess occasionally one might have a lot of stock while another has a reason for not wanting the stock to rise so he marks the offer way up in order that the advertised price looks unattractive. When you come to buy, it's the market maker with a decent supply of stock that strikes the deal at a reasonable price and below mid as the offer is so over the top. i don't know if that is the case here. As for Newcastle United, the price made a swift rise by 50% after this incident - don't know if that's a good omen for this one or whether the price 'muck around' and the rise was just co-incidence.

Regarding the opening at 0.41.

You are all way off the mark. If it is pre-trading, then it is just the order that the MM's open their books.

There has been a MM at 0.21-0.41 for the last week. He will open up first, then the others closer to the true price come in next. It doesn't actually mean anything (look at the highest movers toplist before 8.00 to prove this - you often find shares 1000% up, as all the MM's haven't opened.

Keep the faith guys

Look what I found !!!!!!!!! Compliments to pkstocks for his hard work...

Excellent page with all the info required to try to decipher (looks impossible for me though) where our investment is headed.
It clearly shows the incentives offered to the directors (Weinert and Crisman) and I can only find one piece relating to shareholders:-
"With the exception of Fred Weinert and Stephen Crisman, who are interested in the Proposed Investment, the Directors consider, having consulted with Beaumont Cornish, the Company's Nominated Adviser for the purposes of AiM, that the terms of the Related Party Proposals are fair and reasonable insofar as Shareholders are concerned."

This is the most complicated company/situation we are ever likely to come across imho and personally, on reading the web page above, I will definitely not add any further to my holding...500K shares is enough risk for me to take on.

Happy reading

Ranoszek, you're obviously on the ball...that was the first time I'd seen it.
The only thing I can think of is that one of the MMs are using this price as a standard offer pre-open so as to get the rest of their books in order first and then return to MBF and fall in line with the others, possibly as simple as that.
That 0.41 price works out to a 37% premium on the previous close of 0.3 which probably means nothing in itself except to protect their position in case EVO are aware of news to be released at the open and are keeping stum about it. I'll put it down to 'don't know, don't really care' as this is long-term for me except if the opportunity arises, I have no qualms about trading a few.

I also beleive that the timing of that news of Fred's purchase was designed not to affect the price - last thing Friday pm - and would expect to see a few more director buys prior to the meeting on 10th so as to give them an advantage over smaller shareholders in voting on the name change being proposed. From memory, the PCM board held over 80% of the issued share capital over there so virtually complete control over voting rights was established.

If you have been looking at pcm also, you'll see that it is succeptible to sharp movements, mostly down to the remaining 'ordinary' shareholders buying or dumping. This could happen here too if the board take up a higher percentage of the issue. Fred's total holding looks to have cost around £10K which isn't a lot really (4M x 0.25p) but it could be the beginning of a much larger stake.

The thing that is encouraging about his action is, why put £10k into your company if that stake could potentially get diluted when the company becomes Bella Media?
On the other hand, it might be a smoke-screen, 'cos he'll most likely be given a heap of shares in the new company anyway so any dilution would balance out...

Just a bit of food for thought...
Or just me waffling too much...lol..

Still here waiting patiently. Watching the Vivendi bid continue to unfold like the rest here, and still wondering what if any impact the result will have on the likes of us. But I'm not really a trader and tend not to watch each trade go through. So I guess there's not much to post about just now - simple as that.

the 0.41p price pre open has happenened for the past 2 weeks or so. Not sure what this means?

All the 0.287p trades are buys - I could get quotes for that too. The 0.28p was a sell I think.

Quite unusual for the mm's to sell under the mid - I've had it happen a couple of times before with quite pleasant outcomes.

Thank you GuyDaynes - I was watching and wanted to find out about these as quick as possible before buying (like to know what I'm punting on).

Will buy on Monday, looks potentially exciting.

RNS excerpt from 19 June:-
"Fred Weinert, aged 56, and Stephen Crisman, aged 53, have also been appointed as directors of MobileFuture as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
respectively."

A few weeks after his appointment to be investing in his company's future (and his own future for that matter) is hardly a negative sign. He must by now have a handle on where it's going and it'll be no surprise to me if Stephen Crisman follows suit with a small purchase himself...

more showing as 0.287 - I'd reckon they're all buys but being interpreted as sells by advfn software - Monday might be fun...
Enjoy weekend all ;-)

I just tested the water for that price and got 100K at 0.287 - only £300 but it shows as a sell !!
That quick indicitive price of 0.41 offer this morning pre-open tells me that the MMs knew there was something afoot

Just what I was about to say Guy, unless it was some time ago. I bought some more at 0.25p and they recovered pretty quick so it could have been then.

Don't have L2 myself but would take it that the opening MM's was on 0.41 offer. Given a bit of good news this could move fairly quickly up to that from the current 0.3p. Having read through a few of the press reports recently there does seem to be a swing towards Bronfmans bid, but that is press comment and may not be the boards feelings. I just hope that Bronfman Jr gets on really well with Bronfman Snr and sticks a lot of business MBF's way!!
;-)
