15/8/2003 11:01 | Cableguy i think GE is also competing, 4 bidders. bid up, mbf will pick up slowly, that's we want, we do not want day traders, fluctuating the share prices | irwinthegreat
15/8/2003 08:15 | Re Yahoo story by Guy> Bottom of the article shows that John Malone of Liberty Media is still interested (confirmed on Bloomberg this morning) so, it's probably 3 1/2 bidders. He'd probably say that anyway though to keep in the limelight. Have a good 'un all... | cableguy00
15/8/2003 07:50 | sorry. spoke to soon :-) was on a 38% rise just then | sammyc

14/8/2003 17:25 | And then there were three... What impact the Vivendi auction will or will not have on Bella Media is unclear, but the result is getting closer. With Comcast now out, it appears the the field is down to 3 bidders. Viacom, Liberty Media, and the Bronfman consortium. Reports earlier this week suggested Vivendi were looking for revised bids to be in shortly. | guydaynes
14/8/2003 16:48 | Care to put a value on that 'not so distant future' ? Offer hasn't moved today, only the bid... don't read too much into it too soon (imo) even though PCM had quite a gain today.. Tomorrow might be a different story... Good luck all | cableguy00
14/8/2003 16:22 | Buys now paying the full offer so reckon a move up is on the cards in the not so distant future. | bungeetrader
14/8/2003 11:59 | Being fuelled by people in the know. PCM very leaky. | premierpompey
14/8/2003 11:57 | PCM IS MOVING 16% UP, SOMETHING MUST BE HAPPENING | irwinthegreat

14/8/2003 11:45 | If those 'sells' are 'buys', is it not a bit worrying that the MM's are prepared to let them go at either the bid or closer to the bid price than the offer. Hope they were buys mind. | bobalex2000
14/8/2003 11:38 | These sells are buys. As reported over on 3i board teenuc | teenuc

14/8/2003 11:15 | Ok something's up... looks like all sells (incl that 1M delayed from 10.08am) BUT at a premium to the opening price 0.26, yet no tick down - MMs soaking 'em up. ALSO PCM jumped 10% just now...mmmmmm.... Anyone out there ? | cableguy00
14/8/2003 10:56 | Irwin > As I write, they must've known you were back again. First bit of blue for ages. Next will probably follow big drop with profit-takers who got in at 0.23, we'll see but not a lot of time for the MMs to get hold of a heap of them prior to the meeting... Interesting to see if any rhumours surface... | cableguy00
14/8/2003 08:00 | thanx cable will be here till next year at least. I can see from charts mms have been trading these shares, tree shaking!!!!!!!!!! | irwinthegreat
14/8/2003 00:31 | hI CABLE BEEN AWAY, anything happened lately? | irwinthegreat
13/8/2003 15:44 | Yo Irwin, no, shag all's happened as you'd expect. Hope ya had a good time dude, welcome back. All appears stable with MBF for a while now (well, since ya went away), just waiting now 'till the 10th Sept to see if anything comes out of the meeting. Be good, and it kinda looks like your stake is reasonably intact for now. Cheers | cableguy00
13/8/2003 08:27 | Courtesy of timesonline, Vivendi set a deadline for the sale of their assets and failing this, they do not rule out an IPO. Shouldn't be long now to be in a position to eliminate one factor of the Bronfman link in-so-far-as my own thinking goes on VUE being potential to MBF's success. Guy > as you say, best not to include any of this in decisions by new folk to invest. Interesting if there will be any significant announcement at the meeting on 10th Sept, but hardly likely at this point... Have a good 'un all... | cableguy00
08/8/2003 10:37 | These are experienced players in a game of poker with huge stakes. The news reports suggest nobody knows who's going to win in the end. If anyone. "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings". I tend to think that if the Bronfman consortium is successful, it won't impact directly on MBF. That's just a guess though. Certainly it would be unwise to even consider it when making your investment decision. However, having the Bronfman name thrust into the limelight ain't gonna be bad PR for us, and having a direct link with a heavyweight media company like Universal won't do any harm. In fact if they win then I reckon it's time to break out the buubly. That said, there's some serious players out to scupper our plans for world domination. My investment decision is based on the assumption that the Bronfmans won't be successful. Clearly it's a more cautious approach. But there is a realistic chance they will be. If that's the case, you won't find me complaining. And to think we still seem to be valued as just a cash shell?! | guydaynes
08/8/2003 07:43 | Nice to see a 500k 'T' trade buy at the end of the day yesterday @ 0.28. | cableguy00 |
