23/1/2017 07:55 | Broker target price lifted to £2.00 | hastings
23/1/2017 07:43 | onwards and upwards as per ceo outlook: Last year started full bore and continued at a gallop! As expected, business has settled down to a new level significantly higher than that previously achieved. We have orders on hand and projects for which we have been selected which, together with our substantial pipeline of potential new business will provide us with the opportunity to continue to maintain and grow the business further over the next few years. As we win more business, we shall have the very pleasant task of enhancing our capabilities to satisfy this demand. | melody9999
23/1/2017 07:33 | Looks to be ahead of expectations to me. EPS 12.3p -v- 11.7p F'cast. Dividend 2.5p -v- 2.1p total. Current trading "confirming the continuing growth potential of the business". I Hold. | martinthebrave
23/1/2017 07:31 | You can check broker forecasts on digital look. Looks like they came in line with forecasts | phdboy
23/1/2017 07:24 | SP should reset to match this new level, which without exceptional items has seen a ridiculous rise in profits. As you say though, what were the market expectations! | smcmahon993993
23/1/2017 07:16 | no mention of galloping tho! Having 'galloped' up to a new level, we are now 'moving on'. | janeann
23/1/2017 07:13 | Look pretty decent at first glance :o) | bigbigdave
23/1/2017 07:12 | Well call me mystic meg. Results read very well but does anyone know what market consensus expectations were? | davr0s
22/1/2017 21:48 | By the recent price action could be as soon as tomorrow not that I have any more info to substantiate that view | davr0s
22/1/2017 21:16 | Final results were announced 21 Jan last year, 22 Jan in 2015, and 23 Jan 2014. Must be just about due? Sincerely Hercule | dozey3
20/1/2017 20:11 | Hitachi europe have got their bid in for hs2 according to todays reports, could this very good news for lpa if successful? Might explain todays rise too? | wednesday6
13/1/2017 12:26 | Finals should (?) bring the PE down to the upper teens. The company then needs to keep picking up orders to add to the orders already booked for the next 3 years ('17-'19) to push the share price Maybe some better margin to be had if they can add to the export orders? | thegreatgeraldo
10/1/2017 18:13 | Maybe the buyer has gone? Been taking shares at well above bid , Yesterday 181p was given for them for a 5k lump. Been a few of those recently. Any fall back gives a few extra pence profit when it comes back up on the numbers. On what we know 200p is fair but if the business is still "galloping" then my 300p target may come rather soon. Tiger | castleford tiger
10/1/2017 17:45 | Little shake? Finals due in the next few weeks anyway when we can see how much LPA have been 'galloping'. | bigbigdave
05/1/2017 22:05 | Deal just announced between REDS and Phillips to cross leverage products through One Space. Significant. REDS could go a long way | abarclay
28/12/2016 14:20 | New highs. | cfro
22/12/2016 10:21 | Sitting tight and enjoying the ride. Carclo, a very similar business, including LED lighting also upbeat about prospects. A decent sector to be in methinks, not very glamorous but with much more to come. | chadders
21/12/2016 17:19 | Agree CT. Valuation still reasonable IMHO given growth prospects. Worth reiterating the Sep 2016 upgrade from my post at the time. Excellent statement with WH Ireland indicating a +17% upgrade to PBT & +23% upgrade to earnings. WH Ireland's rebased forecasts:- 2016 Turnover £21.3m (from £20.3m) 5% upgrade PBT £1.5m (from £1.28m) 17% upgrade EPS 11.7p (from 9.5p) 23% upgrade They conclude, "The strength of yesterdays statement leads us to upgrade both our PBT and EPS figures by ~17% for FY16E and FY17E. This is the third upgrade this calendar year. Whilst we leave our dividend expectations unchanged for now, a strengthening balance sheet and enhanced earnings do provide the opportunity for current forecasts to be surpassed." Kind regards, GHF | glasshalfull
21/12/2016 15:52 | LPA is in a strong position supplying specialist lighting and connectors to a variety of industries, particularly Rail. LPA’s position is “better than expectations” RNS prompting our third forecast upgrade this year. Investment in Rail, LPA’s key market, continues apace, not just in the UK (Crossrail, Intercity Express etc.) but also in Europe, Asia and Australia. A 10%+ devaluation in GBP since June 23 gives the LPA story a further fillip. We retain a Buy recommendation with a raised 175p target price (=15x current year P/E, So 11.66p eps. I think we will see over 12p giving a short term 16x of 200p. I have a look at Normanton often and I am more than happy top sit on my shares costing 30p. Tiger | castleford tiger
21/12/2016 15:42 | plus they are ahead of the market numbers. This will run to 200p very quickly possibly even before New year. The company looks undervalued still and my 300p target still looks good. Tiger | castleford tiger
21/12/2016 15:39 | Reason I bought was that it has a classic Contraction pattern suggesting sellers drying up - hence the pop today. Don't see it as frothy at all - quite the opposite. | davr0s
21/12/2016 15:38 | Have you read not read the 27 sept update? | johnv
21/12/2016 14:41 | Be careful. Remember the chairman's Interim statement included 'We expect to make good, but not spectacular, progress during the remainder of the year'. In view of that, becoming a bit too frothy now for my liking. | ansc |
