I wouldnt expect to much from the results, the businesses are still being built up and a loss can be expected at this stage.

I had forgot about the Budget .

I note that the Celsys share price took a dive Tuesday / Wdnesday. They must be getting fed up of waiting for the results like myself.

I do hold quite a few of these(>100k) but the 1% figure came as a result of ambiguous wording in one of my posts being misinterpreted - so for the record no I don't hold 1%.

Mugabe I understand has had prostrate cancer for a couple of years now and will slowly loose the will to govern. All the while the MDC will be spreading its influence into the wheels of power. I expect a gradual and relatively smooth path to normality over the next 5 years, with the occasional hiccup. SA is now helping this process along.

Cash pile now a few million, not what it was, as most used in purchasing assets at good prices and creating start up businesses. Once the economy normalises these will be more properly valued.

What is relevant is that LZM has spent approaching £30m on these undervalued (and underpriced) assets and is now valued via its share price at around £10m.

In an ideal world the assets would sell for say £60m and the share price would need to be around £1.80 to reflect this. Clearly we are not yet in an ideal world but I live in hope.

did i read here correctly the other that you hold 1% of the co.

also what is your take on the eventual death of mugaby. how will this effect the sp/mkcap.

also according to my reserch is lzm mkcap around half its cash pile alone?

many thanks in advance.

Its an unwritten rule that we should not feed or mention the unmentionables, some get paid for each reply.

If you want to see the end result of feeding, just have a look at the disaster area over on PET 's discussion board.

My last words - Silence is golden.

KVRR = well do ya ?

emuphil, Im thinking the the reason for the share price fall was the none release of the Results on the Thursday before the presentation. Then when they did not show on Friday the MMs covered themselves !.

I used to be a fan of OFEX and even though that market had lots of problems companys had to release before a certain date. So more transparent in that respect.

I note Celsys edged up on Thursday.

Regards.

Lookout for the Indigenisation and Empowerment legislation which Zimbabwe have slowly been bringing forward.

It is now law that "locals" should own 51% of all foreign-owned companies in Zimbabwe and companies must submit plans detailing how they will meet this requirement.

It looks similar to the "legalised" land grabs from white farmers by "war veterans".

Of course, once companies have parted with 51% of their shares they effectively lose control anyway, with no guarantees for the remaining 49% of shareholders.

Picture LZM's Leopard Rock Hotel being run by teenagers carrying AK-47's and a taste for dismembering people?

TAKEN FROM THE MWA thread,

robson1974 - 25 Nov'09 - 21:40 - 6365 of 6371

From Imara Edwards Securities a local broker in Zimbabwe

"Market Comment

At a macro‐economic level, we have witnessed strides to work towards economic
recovery. We are advised that Zimbabwe, China and Angola signed a high profile
deal that could see foreign direct investments coming into the country. In
addition, the BIPPA Agreement between SA and Zimbabwe has been finalised
and is set to be signed on Friday 27 November 2009. It is expected that the
agreement will unlock the much needed credit lines that the Zimbabwean
economy requires.
In our view, the depressed market offers a buying opportunity. We believe that it is a perfect time to restructure portfolios and pick those traditionally "hard to find" stocks. The Finance Minister is set to present the National Budget on 2 December 2009. Any good surprises will yield handsome profits for a wellpositioned investor."

According to their latest report Bindura has a local market value of about US$30m. (Compares with Hwange $50m and RioZim $90m)

All look too cheap.

A new Web-site for the newly refurbised Leopard Rock Hotel.

Notice how it views the 'major re-development' in the past tense. As Ecohouse's post states that the work will be completed in March 2010.

The hotel accommodation is either situated in the 'Turret' wing, which comprises the old part of the hotel, or the "Casino" wing, which was built more recently at the time of the major re-development.

Is anyone going along to the presentation this Thursday evening?

It would be nice to meet and put some names to faces, and these evenings are always enjoyable and informative, IMO.
