Added some LLPD for the first time this morning. I hold RSAB, STAC, STAB and these. Been unable to buy STAC or STAB online at all so went with LLPD to increase my pref share holdings in my ISA

EI, never stopped them when I had ECNs but agree risk much lower now of black horse kicking a second time

Well I've ruled out a forced redemption, PR toxic. Any recession looks as it will be mild. The UK rates cycle turning.

Obvs a 7% yield does not come without risk, but risk reward looks very favourable to me fwiw - in fact this looks a gift of a price.

I just bought back in at 1.34. All the forecasts are for inflation to drop from 10pc to 2pc (pinch of salt stuff) over the next year, so the way I see it, these should rise due to that. Meanwhile this adds almost fifteen hundred quid to my isa income.

No , more to do with Nwbd’s more robust terms .

So why would these sell of by 2.5p in a day - a huge move for an illiquid share - when other fixed income pref's don't? NWBD unmoved....

Big seller? In which case, I expect this to recover next week?

Thank you tbow112, I have made a note. Think at present prices, less chance of par redemption, the robbery proceeds vs reputation damage equation altered

It was when he appeared as a witness before a parliamentary committee. Unfortunately the sound on this computer is not good enough to hear the recordings on parliamentlive.tv, so I have not located the recording.

"Bailey over saw that so never would have got my vote for BoE govenor."
He did, however, use the word "irredeemable" in the way that most of us understand it. That could one day be important.

With hind sight I should have tendered all rather than 60%. Been buying NWDB, not sure if I will LLPC due to ECN affair. Bailey over saw that so never would have got my vote for BoE govenor

Not an expert and not sure being an expert helps.I've been thinking the same as you too.But my simplistic approach is inflation's going up therefore interest rates will follow therefore fixed interest will adjust their yield likewise therefore price will drop further. The other point about the possibility of a lower forced tenders is in the domain of experts. But my simplistic view there is any further tender will be bad news (appreciate an expert's view on that, my view is useless gut feel).
