01/9/2020 19:28 | Thanks for the welcome back graham, been busy with work and playing lots of golf recently, also trying to stay off the computer as much as possible and get out in the fresh air while the semi decent weather is still here. Let's be honest, it's all pretty much doom and gloom out there and I mean globally. Really missing my holidays / trips away but I suppose I can't really complain as healthy, working and able to enjoy my golf. Hope all the regulars have been keeping well, even the ones I don't always see eye to eye with !! | ladeside

Hope you win on that one Oh! but you are going to do the opposite of what I post :-) | excell1

01/9/2020 18:11 | Me - "Seeing as a helluva lot of Americans wouldn't know what or where Taiwan is, this might be of little significance, nevertheless." Gecko - "Nor would most Brits. Nor most Europeans. Nor most people of the world outside Asia I expect." Quite so, but I was referring specifically to the differing approaches by two Americans - Trump and Biden. Grahamite - please note, also | poikka
01/9/2020 17:58 | Read 'The Sun" . . . certainly not in Liverpool. They Import it specially for loo use though. Good trade. | bbalanjones
01/9/2020 17:57 | "EU finally makes Brexit intentions clear! Boris given choice – hand over waters or NO DEAL THE EU will block any free-trade agreement with Britain unless Boris Johnson agrees to guarantee access for European boats to the country's fishing grounds, Germany today warned. ... Daily Express... No Deal. Ideal. WTO" O.K. Boris seems weak now with all the U turns.Let's see how strong he is with the EU. Go for it Boris, let's be leaving ASAP. | excell1
01/9/2020 17:53 | I think Min does, along with the Beano. | mikemichael2
01/9/2020 17:45 | Have to agree with you on Murdoch, one nasty piece of work. Does anyone actually read the Sun these days. | bobdiamond1
01/9/2020 17:43 | Corbyn was an odd choice of Labour leader, you might of thought that after the fiasco of Michael Foot who was a good man but not PM material. So nearly 40 years on who would have thought Labour wouldn't have gone for a man who was as far left as Corbyn. | bobdiamond1
01/9/2020 17:35 | North, East & West all Yorkshire, no such thing as South :) | gbh2
01/9/2020 17:23 | Mitchy, Post 11770: Redcar historically part of North Yorkshire. You can take the man out of Yorkshire but you CANNOT take the Yorkshire out of the man.👍 | utyinv
01/9/2020 17:22 | Yes, whatever one's political affiliations Corbyn was never going to win an election. | nigthepig
01/9/2020 17:17 | I cant ever bring myself to vote tory....just rich inherited wealth over privileged and with no life experience what do we expect? If corbyn hadnt been foisted upon us who knows what might have happened. Shame on labour for not realising or doing nothing. | nemesis6
01/9/2020 16:48 | The European Arrest Warrant has always been an abomination and a thing we should have nothing to do with. | grahamite2
01/9/2020 16:41 | John redwood was given his chance as Welsh minister way back. There is a big difference between talking and giving opinions and actually doing a job. He is an historian, out of his depth doing an actual job involving people. An essay writer after doing research, nothing more. Jacob Rees Mogg had a following but now we see why he had never been promoted. He is incapable of doing a job properly. Boris has also been found to be out of his depth, I suspect he is losing his confidence. Hoping this Tory shower improve a little. They have been a failure, totally incapable. A crisis by the winter will create chaos for Boris and his bluster. ..I voted for him, no real choice. | careful |
