When the repo market froze last September, it was because the reserve banks realised that a significant number of banks seeking overnight loans were in danger of going bust that very night. Since then $ trillions have been thrown at the banks and many more trillions will be required to bail out the industry. Of course when you need to create $ trillions to prevent a global banking crash, you need a diversion to explain away the money printing. The IMF holds sway over 160 countries. A good place to learn about this stuff is wallstreetonparade.com
