Whats the problem?
I thought that you all wanted to be isolated and cut off from the rest of the world so that you could sit in your back bedrooms thinking up new laws and imaginary trade deals with Cameroon and Tibet.
Why are you worried about Doctor appointments when you do not need one!

Is there anything that isnt Trumpo or brexit's fault?"

Hard to say.

The 6 billion locus plague champing on anything as they swarm across East Africa?

Crossing, I've just read that China are now accusing the USA of releasing the COVID-19 in Wuhan, kinda proves my theory that we have a set of Lunatics running the World.

We are told that face masks don't do any good, in fact could be harmful"

That's because the government bureaucrats and political class are short of them and want them desperately.

Bought some more. That's it now, I have enough and will keep long term as long as I can pick up a divi.

Banks are useless and Premium bonds aren't fantastic. We have had £100k between us and we've never made more than 3% per annum.

I'm thinking of taking equity release out on our house as our daughter has a lot more money than we do (millionaire). So she told us to cash it in and just spend, spend! We are both in our 70sand very fit.

Any advice as to which companies are the best for equity release would be welcome.

Trump getting grief from those muppets at Forbes for blaming Europe.
Well, many of the US cases emanated from travellers from European continent did they not?

My doctors only taking telephone calls from next week, no appointments face-2-face. Isolating doctors now. Its gonna get much worse.

@GBH2

I find worldometers very useful IF you ignore the Chinese and Iranian numbers which are clearly fiddled. China's weighting therefore skews the end result.
Add a zero to their figures to get a true idea of their problem.

No one quarantines 750 million people just for the flu and 3100 deaths.

Back to start point now. We closed @37.75p I think.
With the virus its expected to be at it's worse in 2-3 weeks time. Holiday time which is typical here isn't it. I think it's right what the boffin says, we have to catch it to be cured of it in the future.

The Media is not reporting this.

Looks to me like the market covering it's shorts just so they can reshort it at a higher price. Two bites of the cherry. It'll probably be back under water before the close or am I being cynical ?

Sydney Ashurst , Thursday, March 12, 2020, 10:58:Off TopicOn Monday I watched the Commonwealth Service held in Westminster Abbey. At the end of it I thought - isn't it amazing that such a diverse ethical group of Countries still cooperate in a friendly manner.Geographically we are part of Europe, but twice in one Century we had to rescue Europe from dictatorship. Why did we ever fall into the trap of a political dictatorship ruled from Brussels. We have regained our sovereignty and its fresher in the outside World.

DOW is dead on the 200ma....so a very relaxed fundie on Bloomberg last night said this is the floor..others said another 10%..whatever it is close to the end of the beginning..before a 2 year recession...exaggerated by the hopelessly incompetent 3 women running Europe.
We got away from them by the skin of our teeth.

Mike Mike, they wear them in operating theatres. There's what the experts think and there's what the press say the experts think, which is usually what the journo thinks. But experts disagree on many things, they aren't an amorphous mass.
