So, we don't have it but somehow we find it and give it to Brussels to play... sovereignty. lolWell, from now on we will have 70b to invest in to UK's economy. Thesame way we find and give to the corrupt organisation thesame way we will find it and invest here.

Yes j07, the Film certainly was well received, in America at that. Trump must be aware that he could go down in history as the "Parasite" that poisoned the American Dream.

porty - I agree with you that facilities must remain available for all customers.

Saw that South Korean Oscar winner 'Parasite' over the weekend, it is certainly a good film, has some twists.

Surprised how many were in the cinema. Subtitles shouldn't worry anyone, just look how many good TV dramas are made by the Danes, Swedes and Norwegians.

Online banking can save you serious money depending upon your needs. Eg. needing transfers etc in multi currency. Changing the way I transact has saved me several £k pa in charges.
In the past the charges were not so important due to the income coming off money markets etc. It is not the case today so saving charges is now a must.

No idea of the stats but would be interesting how much people lost through robbery, pilfering etc when only cash was available compared to internet banking fraud

When people remind us.."The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020 and entered a transition period, but continues to contribute to the EU as if it were a member..." they forget or don't know in the transition period we trade as usual, nothing changes and ofcourse we will pay our usual yearly contributions which is around 14 billion and that's fair. From that amount about 4b will return to uk as.... investment.. lol, from Brussels. SO the 70b hole is after this years contributions!

Just to lighten this thread a tad:

Anyone else find it linguistically funny what POTUS Trump said yesterday. He could have spoken it as his own epitaph:

Complaining of a 'Foreign Language Film' had won the Oscar - he said he would prefer one of the American 'Oldies' and came up with "Gone with the Wind!" Most fitting for a Prize Fart.

That as well Mr Elbee!!!

:)

I went for the most obvious first.

Elderly do tend to be more Conservative, hence reluctant to use all this modern technology with its known failings!

No wonder they're panicking then, if they're strapped for cash while we're still paying in then it'll be worse when we stop.

or perhaps they dont want to put their finances at risk by this nonsense online banking which the industry says is totally insecure....and the security industry say you have to be bonkers to do it.

But the great British public love online banking! Where would we be without them?

"The days of 'branches' are numbered, who needs a branch any more? Just one in each major town will do."

The elderly do.

Many cant use computers. Or afford internet for that matter.
