Money from Russia , and deals done with Russian companies including Farmsyntez , are very significant to the way forward for Lipoxen(will use new name when it gets changed).

Indeed my thoughts run thus

My take is that the acquisition of the German company was in fact chosen by the new Russian investor and not lipoxen ie it was conditional on investing the monies , but the Lipoxen BOD obviously liked what they saw and went along with it.

One would imagine that ALL the Russian investors/partners of Lipoxen are on good terms and have agreed a way forward that will benefit them .... and hence Lipoxen shareholders.

I think the Russian Government has rubber stamped the novel cancer related work and developments that this new acquisition is currently undertaking.

I also think we will soon see RNS's about deals done by our new acquisition with Russian companies.

buywell - you have a habit of over-egging the pudding: yes, the RNS is good news and yes the fact that the placing is at a premium to the share price can be seen as a vote of confidence from our new major share holder, but to say that fundraising "is usually at a discount of circa 30%" is simply not true.
As for the issue of a possible Russian listing - I floated that thought for discussion for a couple of reasons: it's well known that Mr Maguire has long regarded LPX as undervalued - nothing unusual in that from a CEO - but I did hear a rumour a year or so ago that LPX was looking at a NASDAQ listing as a possibility, but that that idea was shelved as being expensive and ultimately unproductive. Fast forward to now, and in addition to our very important collaborative partner Farmsyntez we also have another, major new Russian investor who is backed by sovereign funds. What could be more logical than that the new company seeks a listing on MICEX in order to attract local participation, in particular Russian IIs, at the same time perhaps improving liquidity and stimulating interest in a sector that the Russian government is reportedly keen to promote. If it happened it would be of huge benefit to us PIs, in my opinion.

buywell, you really are a TRUE tw@t!

I posted here early today saying that I thought the refinancing was a good result

rather than just take the compliment from an honourable man, you instead decided to go posting silly deramping, gloating charts across several threads.
You really are a vile character

I was perfectly happy to be positive about Lipoxen's deal, but you know what?
Maybe the Lipoxen share price is now going to get hammered as shareholders in the acquired company dump to get what they can?
There are presumably no deals pending, since if there were, Lipoxen would have hung on and got better prices

Just as you've been gloatingly saying 'looks like charts are right'
Well, I guess they are buywell
millions of shares dumped will see the share price hit 6p

IF LIPOXEN's TECH IS ANY GOOD, WHY BUY ANOTHER DIFFERENT COMPANY

MASSIVE OVERHANG AT 11p - 110m shares placed!

SymbioTec HOLDERS WILL LIKELY WANT AN EXIT - THAT'S 80m shares to come onto the market

OH and LOOK

Two can play at your game buywell
YET AGAIN, you went out of your way to deramp, even after I posted only a positive comment on here

One would imagine that a Russian listing could well get Government support

This may mean it won't cost much

The fact that they were prepared to pay 18% over current share price says a lot.

Fundraising is usually at a discount of circa 30%

The BOD picked up shares at circa 8p at a discounted rate a couple of years back if my memory is correct.

They got baxter to buy in at 9p

Now they have another buyer at 11p

So they are going in the right direction.

One would assume that the new buyers were told something they liked

Perhaps a dual listing on MICEX is on the cards, given this new connection to Russia and our collaborative partner's recent listing there:

Interesting website - you can see how the lpx products and histone might have a very similar action while being well tolerated .

Preclinical testing
The safety of ONCOHIST was effectively proven in several toxicology studies. Toxicokinetic studies demonstrate that ONCOHIST is widely distributed in the body, including bone marrow, and has a favourable half-life. Accumulation of ONCOHIST in any organ or tissue was not observed".

holly_dog - perhaps, but what you are seeing today is market-wide panic, nothing to do with LPX in particular. If they got the II placing away at 11p, I expect a small sweetener to the PIs - say a nice ratio of 10:1 at a certain price?

Well done holders - very interesting deal
shame it came on such a bad day in the markets

I had said I expected a fundraising... and it has come
however, I'm happy to post that it was on much better terms than I'd anticipated - largely through being part of a more complex arrangement

My only question is at what level will they price the open offer for £1.95m? The price action suggests perhaps around here? Could explain the downward movement

Managed to time my entry abysmally. Oh well, average down. I have been watching this for about 3/4 months now, think the product is fantastic. I'm hoping for better luck than rnvo, my last biotech.

Welcome aboard! Excellent news in respect of being fully funded, on all fronts, for the next two years! Also the company is now in control of timelines. Hopefully once the dust has settled and all resolutions passed, at the GM, we will see a positive effect on the share price ..

My only comment is - What a day for an RNS!
Excellent news, Company funded for the next two years - if all goes to schedule (big "if", admittedly!) that's when first Russian drug comes to market (see RNS), in late 2013/early 2014 - backed by a sovereign fund, partnered with some of the biggest names in biopharma, business model modified to fast track multiple candidates to commercial viability. And we eke out a meagre 4% gain. That's showbiz! Or rather, that's AIM.

'If certain people are more intent on petty squabbles and "the principle", rather than making a profit then good luck to them'

the stock actually went down as per my prediction

fwiw, I actually have zero interest being negative about Lipoxen
and will be more than happy desisting if buywell was to simply stop going out of his way to deramp my companies.

"a small rise may not be out of the question in the not too
distant future" - I completely agree! If certain people are more intent on petty squabbles and "the principle", rather than making a profit then good luck to them. Only 6 weeks left of the school holidays...

True, i'm guessing your not in Lpx yourself, i myself believe it to be
worth keeping an eye on, like most Aim stocks everybody can be wise after the
event but i believe a small rise may not be out of the question in the not too
distant future, imo humble opinion.
