Why the delay in our Preliminary Results this year? In 2010 they were announced in April.

Shocking share price performance really given the high expectations not 6 moon past, I suppose the general market malaise can be attributed in part, however, perhaps the fact that the share price should not have been where it was may have some bearing on matters.

If a placing were on the cards, why would they have taken so long? It would have happened by now at 12p or so. This is taking much longer and is therefore something else.

2magpies..........those are my thoughts exactly re placing. Not buying any more now until the waters become a little clearer. Saying that, I very much doubt we will see 6p again!! (I hope)

Results are a month late -- or is that just my imagination?

Poss they are working on a placing in the background -- I don't know!

Looks very much like a return to long term support at 6p may be on the cards.

Thanks for the replies.

Will keep watching closely.

My worry would be that it has now fallen below the 200sma again, which doesn't bode well in the near term.

hdenandy......just wait for news. You may have to pay a fraction of a penny more for your stock, but if you are intending on holding for a while, that won't make any difference.

Vastly overdone sell off, as usual on AIM, due to lack of news flow and a poor market. Why exactly that there has been nothing much for months is a matter of conjecture; some say there's a blackout and BIG DEALS are being done. I couldn't say, but sooner or later this will turn, and when it does, it turns fast. At a guess, I'd say you'll be able to get in in the 8s, no less.

Saw these recommended a few weeks back, when the share price was around 11.5p, and been watching since.

Any ideas why the recent drop of around 20% ?

Thinking of buying a few but at the current rate it looks headed for 8p.

Not sure I'd compare LPX with HML which was a basket case for a long long time and never had any kind of decent technology behind it.
LPX has a lot more promise but I'd give it a couple more years to get some kind of proper commercial recognition.

I'd agree about the fund raising - a cynic might say that was the raison d'etre for the GECR note.

Buywell - All very positive, though in common with other recent RNSs, very much long term.
Since I bought into LPX eight months ago we have had nothing but positive news from the Company, and this has been reflected in the improved share price, at least until recently. However, I sense that, quite apart from the shaky wider market, investors looking at LPX now are keen to know how the Company will fund itself going forward; from reading the published information, it is clear that, with their cash burn, they will shortly require more funding. I know from his own statements that Mr Maguire has been working on precisely this issue in the past few months, in particular commercial deals that will provide an income stream. This of course takes time, what with the legalities etc, hence the relative paucity of news so far this year.
However, I believe we are due, or even overdue, a Prelims statement, and also the AGM should be announced soon, and I am hopeful that we will at the same time get some positive news on the funding front. Maybe that will put an end to the drift lower of the share price in the past couple of months.

Good news today re the $100k grant from Bill Gates health foundation to develop a polio vaccine.

Could be another $1m to follow if it shows signs of being successful.

LPX = a STRONG BUY in my book.

It looks as though LPX has been forming a Falling Wedge for the past 5 months. If so, it could be nearing completion, with an imminent breakout to the upside.

Don't get too excited IAVI supports a very large number of scientific investigations into developing HIV vaccines. So far quite a few have looked good in the lab and then failed to make any progress.
