LIONTRUST ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC

Confirmation of Capital Reduction

Liontrust Asset Management Plc (the "Company") announces that the High Court of Justice in England and Wales has made an order confirming the cancellation of the Company's share premium account (the "Capital Reduction") under section 648 of the Companies Act 2006.

Details of the Capital Reduction were set out in the circular to shareholders dated 24 January 2017 and the Capital Reduction was approved by shareholders at a general meeting held on 22 February 2017. The order of the Court has been registered with the Registrar of Companies and, accordingly, the Capital Reduction has now become effective.

The Capital Reduction has been effected to create distributable reserves to facilitate the payment of dividends and/or the making of share repurchases (should circumstances in the future make it desirable to do so).
