31/1/2003 09:53 | Telegraph Questor Column this week saying it may be time to set yourself free from Liberty, (don't the papers just love those funnies.) Certainly the chart is not too good. But NAV at subst. more than share price- takeover? Two way pull on emotions. | dondee
16/1/2003 00:27 | Been watching this stock for over a year now, very interesting how the repurchasing of own stock and the very heavy buying by the chairman and others have had only negative effect on the share price. Each time I decide to buy the price goes down just when you think it should go up. Brian | briansnape

09/1/2002 13:00 | I bought some too today, but more for steady returns than capital appreciation. Must remind you that compared to its peers its relatively expensive. I was in two minds about whether to buy Land Securities or Liberty, because LAND has more capital upside. I decided against LAND because of its management problems and also saw Libery bosses buying in pretty large numbers. LAND is trading at about 40% discount to NAV and LII is about 30%. Yield at 777p for LAND is 4.2% whereas LII at 490p is about 4.5%. Comments? | shreyans
01/8/2001 23:42 | I agree 100 %, should fly (about time too). great share.......... | garysilver
01/8/2001 23:33 | Announced this morning: LONDON (AFX) - Liberty International PLC, the UK property group which owns Capital Shopping Centres PLC ("CSC") and Capital & Counties PLC, revealed the benefits to its net asset value from the 600 mln stg share repurchase last year when it reported results for the six months to June 30 2001. A buyback of some 34 pct of the company's shares in 2000 brought the group NAV up to 812 pence at the end of June, compared with 728 pence a year earlier. Chairman Donald Gordon said he expects to see "highly positive" retail sales growth in the short term as UK consumers continue to show relative indifference to financial market volatility. Some 90 pct of the Liberty's porfolio is UK retail-related and this is working in the group's favour at the moment. Looks like a safe bet. Plenty of institutions buying this morning. | gerard j
01/8/2001 10:13 | Large X trade at 515p(566,560 shares). Institutions are buying in. | gerard j
01/8/2001 08:59 | Best buy ever - Most undervalued company. NAV over 800p - BUY BUY BUY 510p. | gerard j
