The completion of the Otakikpo-003 well led to Lekoil’s being on the precipice of production. Lekoil is targeting a production rate of 10,000 bpd of oil from Phase 1 of its development of the field. The short-term focus is exclusively on ramping up production from Otakikpo so the company can use the case flow for further expansions and the appraisal of the Ogo discovery. Lekoil will continue to Phase 2 of the Otakikpo field development plan which is to bring production to a target of 20,000 bpd.
