Lekoil to See Commercial Production this Month

Nigeria is set to add to its production totals when Lekoil begins commercial oil production from its Otakikpo marginal field on OML 11 this month. The completion of the Otakikpo-003 well led to Lekoil’s being on the precipice of production.

Lekoil is targeting a production rate of 10,000 bpd of oil from Phase 1 of its development of the field. The short-term focus is exclusively on ramping up production from Otakikpo so the company can use the case flow for further expansions and the appraisal of the Ogo discovery.

Lekoil will continue to Phase 2 of the Otakikpo field development plan which is to bring production to a target of 20,000 bpd. The company is awaiting the necessary approvals from the DPR and its JV partners

If they do not get their act together and there is another delay in production then it's going down. Bonus would be production confirmed and an update on OGO seismics that have been in analysis for years.

Governments will becautious now raising rates and GOLD could be back in demand.

You'll need to look closely at the last RNS. It was altered due to bad weather, welding etc.

Last RNS, regarding production, was on the 19th of last month. It says few weeks for 1st production...
Still no news. Are people loosing patience or the price is already in?

AMUR: LEK: PANR: ENQ: so many oilies under value. LEK: Reminds me of BLVN. Lost the trust of institution...
To many delays in production (1 year late), bad communication with PI, political instability/unrest, no gov decree on AFR assets (anyway, it's better like this for now as there is not enough money in the coffer to develop these assets), big names exiting the region...
These details above are the reason why LEK hasn't taken off like HUR.
