it was schadenfreude on these bulletin boards which stopped King Poster LDMachin getting shafted in the same way as those brainwashed Fools on the other site

question everything and believe nothing... unfortunately many suckers on these boards go broke (some more than once) before they finally see the light

I do agree with whichever Burgerbarwoman with whom I'm corresponding right now about an element of smoke and mirrors in the past for sure, and to a despicable level. The conservative take on bets over the World Cup however were damage limitation - such fortunes to be won and lost and minimal operating cash to lose at that stage. Things have improved, as they do in this game, recently. Let's wait and see, yes? If LNG goes under, it won't be for lack of trying behind the scenes, and schadenfreude on the bulletin boards helps no-one. I'll try not to rise to the next bait. Regards to all.

nickymaine I am nothing to do with any poster here or the fool group, just an individual who nearly invested, hence my interest.
Not all shareholders are in the Fool group or Directors, so the lack of an RNS fully clarifying what happens next in the event of certain financial scenarios I find bizarre.
One of the Fool Group even posted at one stage recently that it might be good if LNG were not doing well.
I found that very strange logic indeed - perhaps he did not (or chose not to) fully understand the potential finality of the situation?

according to Mr Creed, Betshop were in financial stress during the World Cup (excellent for bookies) resulting in the group having to lay off bets (profitable ones) which impacted on Q2 performance

so how are they able to operate in a normal manner now?

have Betshop had a new cash injection?

if Betshop took the bets for the domestic season then why not the World Cup?

you see nicky.... it's all spin and bull... smoke and mirrors

what a load of codswallop to the bitter end.

no, not on trees, Burgerbarwoman, but Betshop have would had some good results this last couple of weeks. Should you have been following. I've realised my mistake ... you are plural, a group (yup, I'm such a newbie) but it does explain the fact that one of you posts astute, informed and erudite comment, and well, frankly, the other/rest of you, don't.

I hope the Fools won't find themselves stuffed, along the lines of;

Last meeting - 'we will try to give you till the twelfth, despite what we said in the rns....'

And on the 7th say, 'nope sorry the last week or two no good, means we can't extend it after all;' and the administration goes ahead.

i.e. I hope the extension 'promise' was absolutely watertight.

Wouldnt mind burgers but there was a post yesterday from a prominent fool highliting just how well all the presenting companys at the fools bash (the mellow) had done since appearing for them.

How come this one wasnt listed or is it just the good ones that are highlited and the bad ones shoved under the carpet.

LNG have roughly 4m admin costs each year

divide by 365 and multiply by 6 days and that's an extra £65000 that's appeared from nowhere.... apparently

according to LNG's most recent RNS, the Adjournment occurred to allow the SPA to actually be 'concluded'. Given that the SPA was not in a suitable condition to be signed, the above has been superceded by events. In my humble opinion only and I'm no expert.

i have no idea why jmaccer thinks that 4p is going to be returned to the shareholders. only 1p is guaranteed to go to lng plc, and that will be invested. plc costs etc will eat into that, and then there will be tax as the money is returned... aim investment companies tend to trade at a large discount to alleged valuations, so you may be able to sell in the market for 1/3 to 1/2p.

the earn out is smoke and mirrors. the earn out bands are so close together that it would not be difficult to miss them....
