27/9/2010 18:35 | i still don't understand what part of; "the company is bust" don't you get? i am yet to see this plan b from the major shareholders. perhaps this is because there is no plan b. there is no silver lining, this is a hard luck story which won't come good. there are no other buyers or offers out there, there is no hidden treasure to be found by jack spratt, so the choice tomorrow will be vote yes and you 'may' get something back, vote no and you get nothing back and the company gets bought for anything the administrator cares to choose. end of story. get over it and move on. at least tomorrow will see the end of this sorry affair once and for all. | jmaccer
27/9/2010 13:44 | This is my favourite bit.."and he still remembers losing his shirt in the October 1987 crash!"...lost a bit more than that this time round Sonny Jim!!! Cliff D'Arcy Writer After qualifying as a financial adviser in the early Nineties, Cliff worked in marketing for several of the UK's leading financial firms. He joined fool.co.uk as a personal finance writer in 2003, leaving in late 2005 to start his own business as a freelance journalist and broadcaster. Thanks to more than a decade on the 'dark side', Cliff has an in-depth knowledge of the world of personal finance. Since the late 80s, he has been a keen private investor, and he still remembers losing his shirt in the October 1987 crash! Cliff is the author of The FT Guide to Managing Your Money, which draws on his own experiences as an investor and financial pundit. Read articles tagged with Cliff D'Arcy. | conlon2
27/9/2010 13:25 | oneillshaun, Even though he is a significant shareholder, i give you odds of 100/1 that Gabriel C won't be there. Also, i still don't know how shareholders can stand to be in the same room as Creedy, i think i'd be vomitting. They should have cut him out of proceedings a long time ago and took matters into their own hands. | ldmachin
27/9/2010 06:24 | Is anybody attending the EGM tomorrow? | oneillshaun

25/9/2010 20:43 | "A circular will today be sent to shareholders setting out the background and reasons for the Proposals and seeking Shareholder consent for them in anticipation that the Sale and Purchase agreement can be concluded." From the last RNS Has anyone received the circular ? | saturdaygirl
25/9/2010 20:10 | Bunch of lily-livered t0ssers, most of them. They should have taken control of the property they owned a lot earlier. | hiq
25/9/2010 20:02 | EGM starts tuesday at 10am set to be a stormy affair with lots of heated debate and aggressive finger wagging. looks like the Fool recovery plan never got off the ground | burgerbarwomen

20/9/2010 20:31 | Cliff did not help himself by being so arrogant. | hiq
20/9/2010 17:28 | "So what did cliffy know? He's meant to be a "shrewd" fincancial guru who had numerous meeting with the management? How could he be so in the dark?" Cliffy wanted to believe the whole 'LNG is grossly undervalued' story. Remember that the easiest person in the world to fool is the person who really wants to believe. Other investors who looked more rationally at LNG questioned how the company's cashflow was so poor when they were apparently doing so well, the constant missed deadlines, odd deals that didn't make any sense (the property purchase). All the signs were there. | investmentguru
20/9/2010 13:34 | 8 more days until the EGM and that includes weekends!!! this is getting serious now... can the Fools save themselves from getting shafted? david... what are the latest developments from Fool HQ? | burgerbarwomen
20/9/2010 11:54 | The idea that LNG traded whilst insolvent is laughable. They're still trading now but on a more modest scale. Colin presumably went to the nomad to head off that possibility, ie a what if? scenario probably suggested that a string of betting losses might lead to insolvency. | hiq
20/9/2010 11:21 | "Under wrongful trading legislation in the UK, if the company continues to trade while it is insolvent the directors of the company may become personally liable to contribute to the company's assets and help meet the deficit to unsecured creditors if the company's financial position is made worse by the directors continuing to trade instead of putting the company immediately into liquidation." | investmentguru
20/9/2010 09:54 | hiq - 20 Sep'10 - 07:16 - 2952 of 2953 Never heard of somebody being sued for incompetence. Where is the crime, the fraud, the criminal negligence? -------------------- Correct me if i am wrong but Colin went to the Nomad and told them that the company was trading ilegally as they no longer had funds to do so, now in my view as CEO/CFO RC was 100% aware of this which this maybe not be a crime but sure as hell this is classed fraud/negligence. And yet the shareholders still allow him to have a job he will be taking another 10k in a week. | oneillshaun
