Interesting times ahead, I don't see Morrison's as their focusing there attention on cutting costs and stack it high and sell it cheap, their trying to compete with the likes of Aldi & Lidi, but as you say, watch this space. VS news must just be around the corner, their HR depts is in over drive.

Cheers gb. I purposefully e-mailed M&S because at one time I thought they might be the next client, having John Lewis under the belt made me think someone like M&S could be next.

I also have Morrisons down, reason being the previous big cheese at Tesco who was there when VS were signed up, now runs Morrisons so I thought of it as a natural link. I did, by the way, send an e-mail to him at Morrisons but didn't get a reply. These things take a long time from first enquiry to an eventual signing so who knows, Morrisons may already be on the possible list.

Obviously I was a bit disappointed when I got the M&S reply, but also encouraged by the fact that they were aware of VS and had obviously taken a look at what "The Edge" could maybe do for them.

So, while I'd rule out M&S for now, never say never.

Thanks professor, take you point about their own branded stuff, they do sell a few non branded foodstuff. The VS system ensures a smooth process from ordering to tracking and then delivery as well as any customers queries, M&Ss process whilst ok could be improved upon, nice to see some constructive and interesting exchange of views on here recently, long may they last..

gbenson1 - funny you should post that, as M&S and Morrisons are my two personal favourites to be next on the list for VS.

Hi gb1 - I think you can rule out M&S. I did e-mail them some time back about the possibility of them using "The Edge". It's because in the food sphere they source their own stuff mainly, and don't sell much of any branded goods.

However, the chap who got back to me said the M&S were very well aware of Virtualstock and the benefits they offered the retail space, and didn't quite rule out possibly using them in the future if they revamp their food division by bringing in more branded stuff.

Nice to know that those at the top of such premium brands like M&S are already switched in to Virtualstock and it's unique offerings.

Lots of developments in the retail sector at the moment due to the downturn in bricks and mortar sales. This could have implications for VS, Tesco have teamed up with Next for instore concessions and good old M&S have poached Carphone Warehouses exec to their priority Digital presence. Both roads lead back to VS!!
