Yep more than doubled my holding today. Moving above 30 on the 14 day RSI and momentum indicators building when the price is moving in the right direction is hopefully a good sign. Yielding just under 9% and management that were prepared to stand up to the PRA and continue paying the dividend. Just feel this has fallen too far of late and is due a reasonable bounce.

I think we are in for major turbulence in UK equities to end of year. The Covid Yo-Yo and the Brexit radioactive fallout will seriously screw up the indicators as things stand today. Is there really any major optimism for UK equities in the next months ? Unfortunately the Boris factor is not helping with his continuous changes in both direction and strategy. Cmon Boris get a grip !

It's very much U.K. domestically focused - more so than aviva So I think we need look no further than our prime minister (or rather his Cummings overlord)

In the 2000/01 crash there was a huge problem with solvency reserves and equity holding Since then most annuity providers have focused more on fixed income than listed equities (though pension funds have been much slower to do this) In the credit crunch there were fears that fixed income would cause problems, but turned out that most insurance companies didn't have sub-prime and mainly had robust loans

Fair points but the majority of their funds overperform the benchmarkReally is a solid business - absolutely no (logical) reason for this dip imho!

I guess one problem with L&G - no idea could be million miles wrong - is not the Insurance side (thats probably OK) but rather where they invested all the money...
Have they invested in a load of stocks that crashed (like airlines etc etc) - Do they list out their investments? Are they OK or have they taken a hammering? Just thinking from the top of my head.
Probably nonsense. Most like they put the entire wad on Tesla Motors and are quids in.
