17/6/2011 17:46 | The 1250p level looks about right for the moment - last year was good but I'd like to see how the current year is going now. | huttonr
17/6/2011 16:45 | Onward and upwards. | robinnicolson
16/6/2011 10:10 | Looking great as usual. | blueball
13/6/2011 11:33 | Brewer Dolphin have increased their PT to 1380p from 1300p. Expect to increase their March 2012 pre-tax profit estimate by 3% to £10.4m They described LTC as 'a high quality, high margin business with significant on-going growth opportunities in regulation-driven markets'. | robinnicolson
13/6/2011 11:06 | Yes, it ticks all the right boxes for me on fundamentals and also operates in a niche market which is relatively immune to the macro-economic climate due to increasing regulatory requirements for safety equipment, but I do relate to Pugugly's "looks expensive" comment. It's been on my watchlist for quite a while and I'm slightly ashamed to admit I chickened out of the buying opportunity afforded by the 2008/9 setback, but I just can't bring myself to buy now on a PER around 20x and div yield of 2.5%. Mind you, I probably should; many a 'cheap' stock I have bought has gone on to get a lot cheaper......! | jeffian
13/6/2011 09:15 | Oh what a lovely quiet board - Excellent results - Cash positive - legislation driven - I called it slightly wrong (post 46) Did not fall back as much as I hoped so did not top up but cannot complain as now up 170%. LTC always looks expensive but so tightly held that unless a major problem I would rate a strong hold (if holding) and a very long term buy if considerig a purchase as unless there is a takeover bid I cannot see substantial yearly increases in teh share price. At a guess maybe 8% to 12% average over the next 10 years. (imo dyor all cautions apply etc). | pugugly
13/6/2011 07:37 | Excellent set of results - slightly ahead of broker forecasts - so, looking good for the future. | huttonr
25/5/2011 08:34 | Results due next month and share price is beginning to move up already so perhaps we should be thinking about 1250p after the results? | huttonr
21/12/2010 22:47 | pug's 46 of 47 reminds me of Bill Shankly's description of football 'A simple game made difficult by people who should know better.' | iomhere
21/12/2010 22:01 | Popped in here after coming across a 2005 FT Weekend Share Watch tip i had cut out. Looks like i just missed a big leg up, however, some of the numbers look compelling enough to tempt me in. Also, given the direction H&S is heading, it won't be long before it's illegal to go for a walk without a fall-arrest harness on. | chrismcglone
17/11/2010 12:23 | Falling back on profit taking - I suspect may well get back to the region of 850p as a very illiquid share and some long term holders appear to have been locking in a partial profit on the spike caused by the Midas tip. Once those who bought on the tip hit a stop-loss then could see an equally rapid fall. The MM's will not take prisoners. | pugugly
14/11/2010 12:35 | Comment on LTC by Midas: | robinnicolson
11/11/2010 10:59 | Agreed. Back in these after those results. | wjccghcc
11/11/2010 10:12 | Yes the spread is bad at 850/900, oddly enough 85/90 doesn't seem so bad ! | strudwick
11/11/2010 07:50 | The half year results look very respectable - I must admit I have been pleasantly surprised, considering the general economic state of the world. | huttonr
16/8/2010 15:51 | its been worse | yoyoy
16/8/2010 14:12 | Horrendous spread (700/740) | jeffian
16/8/2010 10:09 | It must be " ....expects full year performance to be in line with, or a little ahead of, current market forecasts." | yoyoy
16/8/2010 07:33 | needs to make more progress in the emerging markets | yoyoy
16/8/2010 07:31 | RNS Number : 0804R Latchways PLC 16 August 2010 ? Interim Management Statement In accordance with the UK Listing Authority's Disclosure and Transparency rules, Latchways plc presents its interim management statement in respect of the period 1 April 2010 to 13 August 2010 inclusive. Trading for the year to date is in line with management expectations, and at this point the board expects full year performance to be in line with, or a little ahead of, current market forecasts. In our results for the year ended 31 March 2010, we highlighted the many opportunities presenting themselves in our export markets, which were helping to offset the tough trading conditions in the UK Construction market. We have seen a stabilisation in UK revenues, but we remain of the view that our UK markets will be subdued for some time to come. Our export revenues have continued to strengthen, with particularly encouraging trading in North America and some of our emerging geographical markets. This is in part due to the gathering momentum of our Self Retracting Lifeline product range, which has proven itself a worthy addition to the Latchways product portfolio. We continue to add to our long term prospect list, and are in the process of strengthening our sales team to capitalise on these opportunities. Our balance sheet remains strong, with the net cash position being further enhanced since the year end. | yoyoy
14/8/2010 08:28 | Tell me how you think they are doing a good job? thanks | yoyoy
13/8/2010 18:46 | Personally I think the incentive scheme is good. I have been a shareholder for many years and management have done a good job and I trust them to continue doing that! If you don't like the cooking, move on to a different restaurant. | geovest
13/8/2010 17:24 | Sadly the nil cost Incentive plan has been approved. Time to move on and hope that the directors will be driven by this financial incentive to improve both their and the shareholders' return | yoyoy |
