09/6/2009 19:02 | hi! I haven´t posted on here for a long time...I see that there are still sad characters knocking this.....I am not sure if moneymore knows anything about shares....but talking about the graph on this one is like talking about the weather to an eskimo...yes, it is going to be cold.......what a complete waste of time !!!! I have been holding these since OFEX times.....whether there is a placing or not, is in my opinion not so madly important...if they can actually raise the money in this climate I would guess that this is a bloody good sign....it would also give them the funding to actually do something now that Craven has come on board...I liked the piece about the guy connected with Gazprom......I wonder what that is all about....anybody know anything about him? | thecynical1

29/5/2009 20:08 | HAVING RECENTLY taken his leave of one Irish exploration company, Petroceltic, veteran natural resources executive John Craven this week emerged as the head of another. Craven joined Lapp Plats now to be known as Cove Energy as chief executive with non-executive chairman Tom O'Gorman standing aside to allow Michael Blaha, country chairman for Shell in Algeria, take on the role. Craven is expected to hit the ground running. The company said its focus now would be on securing "early stage" oil and gas assets and Craven is believed to have a couple of potential prospects firmly in his sights. He is also likely to tap investors for fresh funding. Cove has about £1 million in the bank but will need more firepower if it is to progress anything of significance. Craven has also decided to ditch its listing on the ISX junior stock exchange in Dublin but will continue to be listed on London's AIM market. This article appears in the print edition of the Irish Times | rickeyy
