26/10/2006 06:17 | Travel promotions firm Landround is in talks with its bank and advisers regarding a possible financing, it said in a statement this afternoon following a dramatic rise in its share price. sharec ast | andrbea
25/10/2006 20:32 | I've been researching this one. Held off because I didn't think the interims contained a buy signal. Looks like the caution is warranted - basically the company is running out of cash. Very sound business, but needs money which means a potentially dilutuve fundraising at best, I suspect. Worst case is that the bank pulls the plug. All a bit grim and very odd that it rose so much today. Can't see this being very pretty tomorrow. | topvest
25/10/2006 19:08 | bit sneaky to put out the statement a few mins before close. Also in the results statement the other day there was no mention of possible re-financing. Saw a 30k+ buy (?) trade end of todays trading... All in all a bit concerning, suppose we're not likely to see any director buys then until financing is sorted out? | mister md
25/10/2006 16:18 | Well it remains to be seen what kind of impact the news will have. Clearly it took the wind out of the sails today. Are LDR talking about a placing - that would dilute the company but get rid of the debt and also possible crippling bank charges. What price would the placing be at? If not a placing then is it simply agreeing more favourable terms? That would be positive. | xavico
25/10/2006 15:45 | blooming typical. Why on earth did LDR put that announcement in. It doesnt really make any sense. How was today's "dramatic" rise connected in any way to the possibility of LDR's financing? A brilliant example of self-assassination. | xavico
25/10/2006 15:40 | 15k T buy at 16.28 | andrbea
25/10/2006 15:31 | not the kind of news hoped for!! (financing) | mister md

25/10/2006 15:23 | Perhaps an announcment after 4.30 ? Some news will be better than no news.. | parvez

25/10/2006 15:02 | sorry if posted before | andrbea
25/10/2006 13:04 | Even though it is one of the top gainers it seems pretty quiet from other posters - probably waiting in the wings. Dont miss the boat - there's plenty to be made from here. | xavico
25/10/2006 12:51 | yes, up almost 50% on just 12k shares traded...agreed, could well be something going on behind the scenes...good luck with this investment | mister md
25/10/2006 12:39 | Mister MD, No news out yet. If there is some material news then a rns will have to come out soon one way or the other. Still so far a very good day and the share price could go a lot lot further in the next few weeks. My own guess is that there may be a power struggle for the co. as I believe (though am not certain) an exiting director bought into the company after he'd left. The company was once valued at approx 20 times it's recent low. A bargain if ever there was one. | xavico
25/10/2006 12:26 | over 40p...! | mister md
25/10/2006 12:13 | being the #2 gainer today should attract some more attention too! | mister md
25/10/2006 12:05 | I believe a lot more punters are waiting on the side lines. THis needs a few days of upward share price movement and it will attract a lot more buyers. The share price has fallen hugely and so one can expect sharp increases. Good luck. | xavico
25/10/2006 11:59 | imagine it turns out like qxl which went from 1 to 100 quid due to shortage of shares - think in that case it was shorters who were unable to close out their positions...anything is possible ! | mister md
25/10/2006 11:19 | The results in recent years have been pretty solid. if it can get back to eps of say 15p then low p/e ratio of 10 equates to share price of 150p. Sales at around 14m per year, mkt cap of say 1/2 this = 7m = 125p. I'm waiting for 100p plus at least ! | mister md
25/10/2006 11:11 | back in Aug is shot up from 20 to 40 in a single day but then worked its way back down to 26.5. It needs to break the 40 barrier and may do so over the next few days. I dont believe the m/cap price is reasonable given the co's previous history and the significant client base it has. Revenue will come back in and I believe there may be s/one out there who would like to buy out ldr. | xavico
25/10/2006 10:59 | just got 3000 more when the spread was 32-37, had to pay 39, there seems to be a shortage of stock... I normally average down, now I'm having a go at averaging up! | mister md
25/10/2006 10:01 | whooooooooooosh | xavico
25/10/2006 09:56 | WHOOSH 35p mid now!! | its the oxman
25/10/2006 09:45 | Mister MD I dont know the reason why but as long as it continues to rise even on small trades then I'll be happy. Methinks s/thing is going on behind the scenes. There was a closed period leading up to the interims and now that's gone. The fundementals of the business appear to be solid so it may be a case of being way oversold. | xavico |
