Ah. So, much slower rate of progress then. Of course we can't expect the current surge to continue at the present rate for very long, so 200-300p in due course would be fine.

I have no real idea when the hoped-for compensation monies might arrive. Has anyone any suggestions?

We're seeing upward action now! Plus 20% in the last 2-3 weeks. I'm entirely happy with that rate of progress.

NBI oil services co breaking up that may be worth a look if youre into the sector.Broken 100p resistance on Friday which looks a pretty significant move.

It may be worth recalling history when it comes to OPEC cutting.

In late Dec 2008 they agreed to cut 2.2 mil bbls per day.
The price had been collapsing to close to $45 pb. But by Jun 2009 (6 mts later) the price was $78 pb.



The markets underestimated what even sentiment changing would do for the price.
IMO the shorting of all things oil and connected to oil is much greater this time.
The outcome thus could be interesting to say the least.

Yes, and hopefully non opec will join in talks next week.

Rigs could be getting refurbished or new ones ordered.

Yes agree, oil related shares rising though,
Tullow oil up over 10%, if the announcement is oil
positive lam could move alot higher.
