11/1/2016 12:49 | Made a statement in Nov.2015, not sure why they would update again, however considering the significant falls since the beginning of the year, it might be in their interest to say something, but it is clear that the market seems to have only just woken up to the oil price falls having a bearing on this co! | bookbroker
11/1/2016 11:43 | t/s was 12 Jan last year | wynmck
10/1/2016 19:41 | Gvc I've always avoided but only for my own reasons - gut feeling uneasy thing - missed loads of upside though :-/Speculative m-bagger for me is PROXWill be buying here though but trying to find the bottom which is always an impossible thing so maybe add in small amounts and average up/down as it goes but as with PFC o ce oil comes good ....... | treeshake
10/1/2016 19:36 | When my buys for 2016 are gvc, fccn, hgm and paf. Although I must admit I bought here last week. | srpactive
10/1/2016 10:04 | halfed in value last 3 months which seems overdone. Its on my watchlist but the market suggests that forecasts are not achievable. I will keep an eye on this over the coming months but it looks like there is no hurry to buy just yet. | pyemckay
09/1/2016 22:29 | Profitable, loads of cash yet paying finance costs and always has an excuse not to pay a dividend. Something here doesn't seem right. | tanners
09/1/2016 21:00 | On my watchlist as is pfc - both excellent cos | treeshake
09/1/2016 18:04 | Crazy price now, even if contract deferrals, tangible assets were $700mln at halfway stage, strong balance sheet, these are being marked as though problems far deeper, and it's clear that the industry will contract, but this co. in a strong position financially to weather the storm, if anything it is likely to be taken over at this price. | bookbroker

08/1/2016 09:46 | Even I am slightly under water now. I agree that it is massively irritating. However as I've pointed out the (cautious) management were buying at over £1. The company had 57p per share net Cash at 30 June and the contraction since then is reckoned to be small enough. They deal with excellent names. They are ME based which is where the cheapest oil producers are. Even if you reckon that (a) Oil has no future (b) ME could explode politically; you would still have to reckon that "liquidation" value here is above the current price/market cap. The market IS irrational and could stay like that but we just have to think longer term or else keep our money under the mattress. Anyone know a good mattress maker ? LOL JMHO | plunger2
07/1/2016 21:48 | bulltradept Thank you, no problem really as you say. | srpactive
07/1/2016 16:48 | Srpactive, Try not to worry about it, it happens, emotions will always effect most people at some stage. It's effected me often enough just got to ensure you trade within specified boundaries so you can take the inevitable hits as and when they come along. As to LAM it's not a particularly pleasant close currently, will have to see where oil finished etc, but I don't think it's a bad company just getting slammed for numerous reasons currently. | bulltradept
06/1/2016 13:08 | This will bounce to mid 90's very soon, imho. dyor Got this wrong short term, as I should know, never try to catch a falling knife, I am most annoyed with myself, especially as this is my 30th year of doing this. dyor | srpactive
06/1/2016 13:02 | Hi dealer, not sure that is correct. Hence the reason why I have referenced the time period you talk about in my post. Perhaps you could link a post as I have done showing their charting software of the time period in question? Thanks | bulltradept
06/1/2016 12:24 | Bulltrade, share price closed at 83.14p on 31/12/12. Following trading day share price opened higher and didn't bridge it. Sp hasn't visited that price since to bridge it so gap still showing on HL Stockbroker chart. | dealer1972
05/1/2016 20:06 | bookbroker Rammed down for bid. | srpactive
05/1/2016 17:50 | Dealer there is no gap @ 83.14p on the 31/12/12: | bulltradept
05/1/2016 16:36 | could be 83.14p gap close target from 31/12/12. chart suggests further to fall yet. | dealer1972
05/1/2016 16:32 | This situation reminds me of bpty over the last year, they fell to this price approx after being around 100p, now 131 and being acquired. It will happen here also, take a look at the bpty chart. | srpactive
05/1/2016 16:28 | mbo here imho, with the Lamprell family. | srpactive
05/1/2016 16:08 | Sphere25 - based on known knowns the price is now farcical. By the way if losses were in any way imminent why would they be hiring? LAM is unloved and too small to be of interest or of consequence to these brokers. You also have the comfort that the Chairman was piling in at 100-105p last April. I think he'a a cautious fellow. We'll see. DYOR | plunger2
05/1/2016 15:52 | Watching on here. I don't usually do anything oil/commodities related, but this appears to be trading under TAV and has a stack of cash so is the market massively overreacting here? Looks like the market is expecting a substantial reduction in revenue resulting in quite possibly losses and some depletion of the cash pile? The more this falls, the more I think this could be quite possibly one of the top picks for when oil does eventually recover. Surely the balance sheet can withstand a poor couple of years. Or am I missing something here? | sphere25
05/1/2016 15:51 | Gone longer at 87.5p | srpactive
05/1/2016 15:42 | Apart from Numis note, nothing else in the public domain that should be a catalyst for this fall, I don't believe that the recent events in the Mid-East justify the fall, and the falling oil price has little bearing on this co, platforms and rigs still need to be maintained! | bookbroker |
