19/10/2016 08:53 | Listening to conference call - don't sound as though this is in their handsMargin pressure, increased Far East competition.. | tsmith2
19/10/2016 08:51 | Just bought a tiny few at 160p, this will be broken up where there is value, ideal for corporate action, fundamentally a sound business with various parts that have a fair bit of value in their own right, time will tell! | bookbroker
19/10/2016 08:46 | Personally these have value, but right now these markets are not worth investing in, there are some real shocks yet to emerge, this was a slam dunk here, unexpected somewhat, but EJ. I know the feeling, but my stomach for risk these days very muted! | bookbroker
19/10/2016 08:32 | Sold these after the first warning. Profit warnings are rarely singular. | spoole5
19/10/2016 08:27 | It's all about covenants here! | bookbroker
19/10/2016 08:25 | Likewise, I had this on my watchlist and nearly took a stake when it dropped below the 300p line recently. The numbers were pretty ugly so it is hard to determine whether this is an overreaction or not. A lot of decent companies are carrying a lot of debt at present which makes things uncomfortable when things go wrong like this. I suspect it is oversold but I will wait a little before making any decisions. | salpara111
19/10/2016 08:18 | Ouch! Sorry to everyone who is invested here. I was thinking of reinvesting myself after I got bounced out last time. Glad I waited for update before buying. I agree with Church that the fall in the pound should have helped push this along, which makes today's statement all the more worrying. | werty5
19/10/2016 07:47 | Is it 2.58 here we come? | bulltradept
06/10/2016 11:19 | Worth taking a note of BTG statement today where the weakness of sterling to the dollar has enhanced predicted revenue for the year. One would expect a similar situation when Laird issues a trading statement towards the end of this month. CH. | churchtower
04/10/2016 11:07 | Trading Statement due in about three weeks time. Increasingly beneficial exchange rates continue to provide a strong tailwind to justify optimism that full year predictions will be met. CH. | churchtower
21/9/2016 12:48 | I am in as well, will be tempted to put some ARM money into this on further weakness, but seems to have perked up over last couple of weeks. Happy holder! | getscenic
21/9/2016 12:19 | SP up by 3% this morning and yet it appears I am just talking to myself. Anybody else out there interested in Laird ? CH. | churchtower
21/9/2016 09:55 | UBS RAISES LAIRD PRICE TARGET TO 375 (350) PENCE 'BUY'. CH. | churchtower
20/9/2016 13:55 | Analyst consensus figures on 1/9/16 taken from the Company website give an average prospective PER for 2016 - 14.36 and for 2017 - 11.7. The maximum is 2016 - 13.07 and 2017 - 10.93. The minimum is 2016 - 15.9 and 2017 - 12.86. On the average figures this would produce a 2017 prospective PEG of 0.53 which in Jim Slater terms is well worth further consideration at the present price level. CH. | churchtower
16/9/2016 12:35 | Dependent upon the accuracy of figures taken from the Company website It would appear that the four highest holders of Laird shares as at 3/6/16 - Artemis, Mondrian, Hambro and Franklin Templeton have all been adding to their holdings despite the departure of Mr Lockwood and the initial problems with Novero. An 'in the know' confidence in the Company prospects I would submit. CH. | churchtower
16/9/2016 10:35 | good move up | gucci
07/9/2016 08:34 | A sitting duck at these present levels. CH. | churchtower
18/8/2016 09:33 | Albeit that the loss of Mr Lockwood is unsettling, those who watched the most recent presentation must have felt that he often turned to Mr Quinlan to clarify certain matters and perhaps no longer had his finger on the pulse. Now we know why. Such departures seem to overwhelm the market and makes one forget one of the most important factors, which is after all the potential of the markets in which they operate and the nature of the products which Laird manufacture and sell. That has not changed. CH. | churchtower
18/8/2016 08:29 | * sorry - £2.55/2.6 looking at a small chart | tsmith2

18/8/2016 08:16 | To fall to 275p? Would make a decent trading opp at that price | tsmith2
17/8/2016 11:08 | EJ Making no comment whatsoever on the individuals (David Lockwood and Tony Quinlan)involved, I presume you were aware when you made the comment about "bean counters" that Lockwood is a Chartered Accountant too (as per the Cobham announcement). He hasn't done too poor a job at Laird. | grahamburn |
