It's all about the millennials.

Great research by Morgan Stanley on the amazing potential of e commerce in India.

To work out figures easier, let's say that £1 equals 100 rupees instead of today's price of 80 rupees.

1 Crore = 10 million
1 lakh = 100,000

March 14, 2017, 6:20 pm

Millennials may have the ability to buy Rs 16 lakh crore (£160 Billion) worth of goods and services online by 2020, said Morgan Stanley in a recent report.

Already around 30 percent of Indias population, individuals in the age group of 18-35, will likely do most of their shopping, or worth nearly three-fourths of their estimated spending power of Rs 22 lakh crore (£220 Billion) online by 2020, the brokerage firm said.

Morgan Stanley anticipates that Indias millennial population will grow from 40.7 crore (407 million) in 2016 to 50.4 crore (504 million) by 2020.

A more important estimate is that this group will likely form 61 percent of Indias internet base and 78 percent of its online shopper base, according to Parag Gupta, an equity analyst at the firm and one of the authors of the report. Both these parameters are expected to disrupt business strategy, he said.

India 5 to 10 years behind China.

Over the next three years, the brokerage firm estimates that Indias internet penetration will rise to 60 percent from 38 percent in 2016. A large part of this internet user base is expected to come from the current millennial group.

Difficult market place, all fashion retailers/e-tailers struggling.

Prefer (HER) for substantive gains.

Extremely relevant to Koovs, as niche online retailers not only grow, but take customers from the big e commerce platforms like Amazon.India: Specialty online retailers like Myntra, Voonik regain market shareMarch 13, 2017: Specialty online fashion retailers, led by Myntra, have regained market share over the past year on the back of an improved brand assortment and easier browsing experience, indicating that they are holding their own against the likes of Flipkart and Amazon India.Myntra, Voonik, Limeroad and Nykaa are seeing strong demand among online shoppers whereas sales growth in fashion at Amazon and Flipkart has slowed over the past year. Snapdeal, which is facing a cash crunch after struggling to raise fresh funds, has seen a sharp drop in fashion sales over the past year, according to fashion brands and e-commerce executives.Read more at:

USA Investor domain-I should also point out the business backgrounds of senior management. Lord Waheed Alli was Chairman of ASOS for around 13 years, he also has a hugely successful media business. Mary Turner is ex Tiscali UK, where she was CEO and responsible for its huge growth in the early 2000s,she then became CEO of Hive which she sold to Centrica and was a non exec at ASOS. Robert Purcell the FD worked with Mary Turner at Tiscali and Hive-this is his third venture with her-they are a very successful team. Robert Bready was a Board member of ASOS and previously at Chelsea Girl which became River Island. The management credentials are huge, management ownership is huge and the stock should be huge. Think of India-GDP was just reported at 7% in the quarter of demonitisation, the population is huge and growing and the middle class is about 50m people and growing. Of course there are always risks and good e-commerce stocks always look expensive, but this stock has the ingredients to be really huge, though it may take time to get going. Enjoy the current low share price, use it to build up your holdings then sit back for 6 years and enjoy the ride (unless of course someone takes it out first).

Yes Tricky- I think people just don't realise how much skin in the game the management actually have in Koovs. After the last placing:Following Admission, Lord Waheed Alli and his connected persons will have an interest in 38,699,218 Ordinary Shares which represent 22.6 per cent of the Enlarged Issued Share Capital.

Harebridge-good post. Koovs is very like ASOS in the early days when the shares struggled along for a while, but people who bought modest amounts in the 12p-70p range and held on became millionaires as the share went to £70 plus. The insider ownership here is huge. Yes they do have to raise more money, but not as much as everyone seems to think. Consider that they only have 175m shares outstanding,
even if they issue another 100m shares-which I sincerely doubt they will have to, they will only have 275m shares outstanding.BooHoo on the other hand have 1,123 million shares outstanding. Waheed Alli, Mary Turner and Robert Bready are very keen not to get heavily diluted and they have more at stake than the rest of us put together!!

There's no guarantee (correct spelling) in anything. They're at different stages of growth with Koovs still scaling up. I'm not comparing the companies (when did I do that)- the common factor is that Peel Hunt are covering both companies.Peel Hunt have been very accurate with Boohoo & have very detailed analysis on Koovs, whom they are very positive about. Try getting a note if you know the right people.Mary Turner & Lord Alli are looking at profitability in 2019.If anybody wants to mislead by posting lies or irrelevant YouTube videos, please go to the other thread.Thank you for your assistance.Ps, I did say I'll return there in the 60's, so see you there in a few weeks.

I agree with both side of the arguement, however I have to agree with Harebridge more, Peel Hunt have been spot on with Boo and I'm sure they won't get it wrong with Koovs. Currently Peel Hunt state a strong buy and a guide price of 100.You have to also keep in mind the people running this who have a track record with Asos and if that's not enough then the business model is proven to work. Koovs compared to Asos and Boo is small however there is a lot of room to grow. I reckon the 50p mark is not far and we will see Peel Hunts guide price become reality by the end of the year.Don't forget 2017 is Game Time!

If anyone is concerned here, try & get hold of the recent Peel Hunt note who have this as a STRONG BUY!! Target 100p

I've read it inside out & they remain very positive!

Remember that these top analysts have been extremely accurate with Boohoo (LON:BOO) all the way from 28p to £1.50

With regards to current trades, mostly BUYS showing up as sells just below the mid price. A common trick market makers employ to scare out amateur traders.

The price is actually strengthening on the bid- offer. Expect a tick up to 50p very soon.
