Well it hasn't crashed as some predicted, we will have to wait for next results in January to see how they coped with demonetization.

If koovs changes its timetable again for break even this stock will plummet again. So what are the chances koovs changes its guidance of when it will be break even. I think they are rather high due to koovs competing with big players who will lose money to acquire customers for a long time. If you have been following this stock you will know koovs initially changed their outlook for when they would have been profitable due to high marketing costs due to a crowded market. These are external factors which koovs directors cannot affect.

Good to see the deluded masses on the censored thread reading the truth on this one.

Every stock I've come across that bans all posters with an opposite view tends to end up a failure.

Only flaw on shorting koov is that you cannot open a short with anyone.

RjD- I also mention that they make massive losses too! Whatever the big players do, it has a ripple effect on minnows like Koovs.Yes they are the big players who make up the majority of the market, but it is interesting to read how they've dealt with demonetisation, increasing private labels, social media interaction etc.All the research that I'm reading is pointing to investors getting annoyed at continuous losses with all the major players, in turn making them increase their margins by increasing their private labels.Koovs private label range is running at 40%. They really need to increase this.It really is quite unbelievable how all the players are throwing a ridiculous amount of money into this to gain the first user initiative.Looking forward to the next trading update- about time we had some news that the market likes!

Hi Harebridge, I note you refer a lot to Amazon India, Flipkart, Myntra as examples of companies who are growing fantastically in India with heavy investment however aren't these companies all competitors to Koov in which case don't they represent a damaging threat for now and the future to Koov?

Alibaba gearing up for India entry, to open office in MumbaiDecember 29, 2016 In India, Alibaba also holds a minority stake in another e-commerce company, Snapdeal.Alibaba had shared its plans to enter India earlier this year when it said the company is looking at opportunities to build the business organically or through other means. "We have been exploring very carefully the e-commerce opportunity in this country, which we think is very exciting on the backdrop of Digital India," Alibaba Group President J Michael Evans had said. The e-commerce market in India is largely ruled by home-grown Flipkart and US-based Amazon Inc besides a number of other players such as Snapdeal, Paytm and Shopclues. For Alibaba, it would take significant investments and a long-term strategy to grab a substantial market share in the country's fast growing e-commerce business.http://techcircle.vccircle.com/2016/12/29/alibaba-gearing-up-for-india-entry-to-open-office-in-mumbai/

Great article helping to understand how Amazon India are growing (at a loss)India remains a key intermediate-term growth market for every global internet player. Unlike developed markets, which are undergoing a transition from desktop to mobile e-commerce, India has largely skipped the desktop phase and is transitioning to a truly mobile-first market. eMarketer estimates mobile transactions currently account for 65% of e-commerce sales in India, with the potential to reach 80% by 2020. Rapid adoption of smartphones and improvements in internet infrastructure remain core drivers of growth, as we estimate the number of internet users in India has the potential to exceed 400 million by 2018.http://www.barrons.com/articles/BL-AFUNDSB-8147

Irishlass, HT media have confirmed that they will not be selling any moreHT Media, said that the company "exited 10% of our holding in the market last month and (is) not intending to exit anymore at all"."On the contrary, we have a huge belief in the long-term investment prospect"How do you value these kind of growth companies? You can't on standard old school metrics. But it is interesting to see so much interest here as punters are looking for a good entry price, those that missed the boat with ASOS & Boohoo etc etc etcWatch them all pile in at the same time very, very soon ; )

Monkey it was animals like you that were advising people to sell ASOS in the early days only to see it scream up.

Rjd we just had interims out last week:

Mary Turner, CEO, said:

"It has been another amazing six months of growth for both sales and new customers. We have delivered on both our strategic and financial objectives and are in line with expectations. The increases in our customer base, registered base and social followers will provide an excellent opportunity for future growth. Whilst demonetisation had a short-term impact on the market and ecommerce we have seen good growth in November and had some of our best days for sales in December.
