Good price action over the past few sessions, above average volume too.

Going to be a bit of supply in this area though, there's the top of the trend channel and 500p to contend with. If it breaks through then this will hit new highs pretty quickly.

In terms of newsflow there's been a constant stream of new contract wins over the past few weeks, unfortunately ADVFN doesn't pick them up, a US business wire feed is required.

Yes, it's been drifting for a while now on the basis of no news. Has been one of the least good performers for me recently and was tempted to sell and switch into Titan but think the fundamentals are still sound so will stick with it.

Technically the failure of 500p and the 50dma has brought out the sellers and shorters.

Obviously this needs more time correction to digest those large gains from earlier in the year.

Kofax Says Profit Jumps After It Wins New Customers

By Renee Lawrence - Feb 7, 2011 9:33 AM GMT

Kofax Plc, a U.K. image-scanning software maker, said first-half profit climbed tenfold after it added customers such as UBS AG and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA.

Net income for the six months ended Dec. 31 rose to $10.6 million, or 12 cents a share, compared with $1.1 million, or 1 cent a share a year ago, the Basingstoke, England-based company said in a statement today. Revenue rose 20 percent to $121.7 million.

Kofax which maintains a global network of more than 700 partners, said last month it will sell its hardware business for at least $20 million. Chief Executive Officer Reynolds Bish said he plans to expand the business by buying companies. Kofax has $69 million in cash and the company will have about $100 million in cash by June this year, Bish said by phone today.

"Any chief executive with that amount of cash would have to be punished for letting the money sit and I have no intention of going to the woodshed," Bish said, " We are looking to grow through acquisitions and could make an announcement this year."

The company said it expects software business revenue to grow by about 14 percent on an organic, constant currency basis during the current fiscal year. Bish said he is "very confident" Kofax will meet market forecasts of $245 million in software business revenue this fiscal year.

Shares rose the most in almost a year, climbing 8.4 percent to 393 pence a share in London trading today. The stock rose 7.9 percent to 391 pence at 9:15 a.m., giving the company a market value of 341.3 million pounds ($551.4 million).

"We would expect to upgrade our Software business EBITA forecasts by c.40% for FY 2011E and c. 35% for FY 2012E. On our upgraded estimates along with factoring in the disposal of the Hardware business at $20m, the Software business trades at CY 2011 EV/EBITDA of c.8x. This is a c.20% discount to the UK software sector which we believe is unwarranted. We reiterate our Buy and move our target price to 420p," say Altium.
