10/4/2008 14:37 | bluenose that was exactly my thoughts. In fact I just got another load I hope the share price is more successful with the new Arcontech management. Good buying by directors, etc. We need to hear they have sold the market trader business to stem the losses, then we really should be motoring towards a profit in the next year. Good luck. | 53tom
10/4/2008 13:30 | think it is time to buy these now | bluenose851
07/4/2008 12:53 | is that the louise barton from Thomson? | bluenose851
04/4/2008 14:13 | Well they have managed to place just over 214 million shares with presumably institutions and the directors Last, Barton and Andrew miller have taken 36 million between them. They are admitted to trading on 08/04/2008 and have raised £1,170,000, therefore placed at 0.472 pence each, which I think is a fair price in this market. Shows faith in the company/ management that they managed to carry this off. And I like it when directors put their hands in their pockets to buy shares. Total No of Shares % of total Share Capital Louise Barton (and her husband, Mr. Brian D. Newman) 41,297,000 5.61% Richard Last 25,100,000 3.41% Andrew Miller 21,777,000 2.96% Andrew Miller CEO of KTS said: "As stated in the interim statement published on 31 March the Board is planning to change the name of the company to Arcontech Plc at the AGM in December 2008 and expects the company to trade profitably in 2008/09." Arcontech has a growing, robust order book with strong demand for both our traditional middleware software products and our new CFD and Spread Betting on-line trading software system." This is one hurdle out of the way. Can they now quickly sell the market terminal business to stem losses, then they can grow the new business and motor to a profit. Good end to the week. Regards Tom | 53tom
03/4/2008 20:03 | a new low. think things will get worse before they get better | bluenose851
01/4/2008 15:30 | i think so. They need to get rid of market terminal asap. Looking at the figures, if they get rid of market terminal, there shouldnt be a great necessity to raise to much money as it is profitable. I presume though the shut down costs may be expensive. As you say....a bit if light | bluenose851
01/4/2008 09:57 | Your dead right, without Arcontech we would be a stone cold dead duck by now. Questions are. How big will share placing be, at what price, and have they interested large investors on the sidelines (with available cash)? A public placing will be very dodgy at present. Whether, and how soon, they can find a buyer for the Market Terminal business, and one who would take it without the IP rights? How quickly they hit breakeven? The contribution from just 4 months of Arcontech was outstanding and if that is grown through the strong demand experienced and extrapolated to a full year, then could see £2m turnover and £500k profit just from Arcontech input in this year. The question then is how much that is negated by the remaining kts businesses, so the quicker they sell the lossmaking kts parts the better. They are predicting a profit this year, fingers crossed they could be right! As someone who has had his fingers burnt on kts (stoploss, stoploss, stoploss) and who had written them off, any reasonable improvement in share price will come as a real bonus. Andrew Miller seems to be switched on and have a product that people actually want to buy. Light at the end of the tunnel? regards | 53tom
01/4/2008 08:40 | sorry that should have read millions not billions, got a bit carried away, but the underlying thoughts remain the same. As a KTS shareholder you should be very pleased they reversed into you, otherwise this would have been a dead duck | bluenose851
31/3/2008 10:50 | Well I am glad they reversed into kts, otherwise we would be looking to go down the tube now. They have half a billion shares (488,640,000) at present. If we assume that they need to create sufficient money to carry them through the next 6 to 9 months to their claimed profitability and to give them a trading buffer, then I hope they are not going to the market for too much money. Previous placings seem to have been over-subscribed and readily got away with institutional investors, and did not go to the wider market, will they manage that this time? perhaps with profitability round the corner they will, even in these straightened times. Shame about the further dilution, but if the company can get into profit for a couple of years perhaps the share price will rise with it and give something worthwhile back to shareholders. Heres hoping | 53tom
31/3/2008 10:19 | i thin kthis move was inevitable. The arcontech biz does look good, and they need to get rid of the old business. i do not expect they will get much for it. Think arcontech made a mistake, should have floated from scratch. They have effectievly reversed into a company that has billions of shares in issue and look set to sell more. The dilution will stop this being the success it probably should have been (in terms of share profit) | bluenose851
31/3/2008 07:35 | Results out. Fund raising, but for an unspecified amount! Also changing name to Arcontech and hiving off the Marketterminal subscription business. But expecting to trade in profit for 2008 and 09! They see good prospects. A mixed bag, but all in all it is the best we could have hoped for. Exceptionals when taken out show that the corner is being turned. The next results may well show a substantial turnaround in the balance sheet. This company is on the road to recovery, it seems. 28/3/2008 22:01 | Interim figures coming out 31st March. | sjcsystems
25/3/2008 12:57 | hi i dont know ty | bluenose851
17/3/2008 20:19 | hi when are the results out . ty | baile50
13/3/2008 11:28 | having looked a little deeper, this company MAY survive with arcontech. Problem is they have effectively reversed into a bad company that is losing money heavily and has issued way too many shares. We may have seen the worst but i cant see it flying...just surviving | bluenose851
10/3/2008 07:40 | yes i was talking about the old days. But the underlying problem is apparent. They are losing a lot of money each year and continue too. | bluenose851
09/3/2008 22:27 | You are referring to MarketTerminal I believe. I am referring to full CFD trading platforms, slight confusion therefore, sorry if I misled. | sjcsystems
08/3/2008 09:54 | I m aware of a few that were not sold to but had the system for free. The results!! | bluenose851
07/3/2008 19:35 | Please specify those freebies bluenose and the basis for your allegations on cash burn | sjcsystems
07/3/2008 19:29 | if you had substantial contracts they would have been announced. this company was announcing freebies to companies as contracts so if it was substantial it would have been announced. Still losing a lot of money each year too! | bluenose851
07/3/2008 14:59 | There many contracts in place and pending bluenose, for example www.onecfd.com and www.hh1803.com are both using our CFD trading platform. Tradition are a long-time client of Arcontech so this announcement is an extension of an existing contract. | sjcsystems
07/3/2008 08:56 | where is the jam.....no contracts | bluenose851
05/3/2008 12:14 | The rollout with Tradition has happened, this is jam now. KTS/Arcontech are delivering in a number of areas. | sjcsystems
05/3/2008 08:24 | this is what you call a jam tomorrow company. They prmise a lot but never deliver | bluenose851
04/3/2008 22:54 | The announcement specifically mentions that Tradition are expanding their use of the Starnet data distribution platform to further locations within their organisation. There will be more news soon I think, interims next week as well. | sjcsystems |
