15/9/2011 12:51 | Good news, but i would have thought we would have went up more today.....lets face it, we have been higher some days on no news......They arent for letting us go above a £1......that seems a gimmie. | tailgunner2
15/9/2011 09:19 | Have to agree Spekky the break even bit is high comment indeed! :-) | ljsquash
15/9/2011 07:38 | Keep it up KIO and well done all at Manton Wood...... ;-) I've never known them to give so much detail specifically about China ops.In their usual understated way I think they are quite excited about developments there. Also beginning to talk about licensing Aquatice......shapin | spekky
14/9/2011 09:32 | I assume that sooner or later,KIO will introduce an interim dividend.I'm not really expecting that tomorrow but it would be a way of attracting some further interest from the market.Progress in China and Brazil is essential and maybe some intimation that they are close to an acquisition. | spekky
14/9/2011 08:22 | Results out tomorrow, looks like MMs are testing resolve of holders with a cheeky drop on no volume | davydoo
12/9/2011 06:22 | davidosh Many thanks for the link to TMF write up,very illuminating. EDIT...Nice to have confirmation that Bayer are still interested in Aquatice. | spekky
11/9/2011 19:46 | There is an excellent write up of the Kiotech presentation and Q&A at our Mello event over on TMF here... You can add your comments or further questions there. | davidosh

10/9/2011 09:38 | spekky it was Richard Edwards who gave the presentation David Bullen and Karen Prior were also in attendance, which impressed me to have the top 3 there, especially as its not a London based business. Unforunately I couldnt stick around to talk to them as I had to leave after the presentations. I have previosuly spoken with David and was very impressed with how keen he was to engage with me as a private investor in the business. | davydoo
09/9/2011 11:20 | Soooooo???...what are mm's gonna do now??...sit us tauntingly at 99p just under the £1 for a few weeks???...walk it back down???...let us go over the £1?? | tailgunner2
09/9/2011 09:35 | davydoo Thanks for the update, much appreciated.Who gave the KIO presentation? | spekky
09/9/2011 09:20 | davidosh, many thanks for an excellent event last night. 4 quality and diverse presentations. KIOs presentation was interesting, although i felt a little light on the financials, and heavy on the science, but then thats always a challenge for any executive with their head in the business 24/7 to then describe it in a way that investors want to hear, or maybe thats just what i wanted to hear. I think they undersold the transformation of the business, particularly in terms of the rationalisation of sites, increase in prodcution capacity and improvement in balance sheet, all whilst growing sales. What i hadnt realsied was that in order to increase penetration to a market they will go in with two brands, which are essentially the same product in different packaging, but that its required to meet the demands of the distibutor models. They described the aquatice opportunity as being 'thrown in for free' and not given any value despite the progress of trials. Although they are 10 years into an exclusive 20 year agreement already. Stressed the importance of China and Brazil as growth markets, and the premium placed on UK/EU suppliers as opposed to local. Also confirmed 90% of production cost is in the raw materials, which have a global price, and so risk of competitors producing in asia isnt that great, although conceeded the transportation costs are a factor. If I think of anything else, i'll post later. 2 small trades already today, and £1 gets nearer. | davydoo
09/9/2011 08:55 | This is more like it guys....after months in the doldrums,it seems we are off to the races..... | tailgunner2
08/9/2011 13:03 | Just for fun I've put the other 3 Mello presentees on my monitor (CNS,HZM,STY).If this was a horse race it does appear that KIO is the ante-post favourite .I hope our jockey tonight is up for the race... ;-) | spekky
08/9/2011 09:38 | Bid at the £1, now can the offer get through for a possible break out at last! :-) | ljsquash
08/9/2011 09:35 | Been in this share for about 12 months. Must confess I know little about the feed additive business (but learning). However, the big plus for me is that I like what the management are doing. Debt free, generating cash, making good decisions ( e.g.bought their HQ at the right time when the market was low), in the two largest markets in the world, Brazil and China but starting slowly in both countries. Seems like a well run outfit to me. Mkt cap far too low and won't be long before the competition starts casting an eye in this direction, all in my opinion of course. Interesting tick up today. | nivison
08/9/2011 09:33 | Cheers thought it must be London as not heard of it! | ljsquash
08/9/2011 09:30 | Mello Central presentation tonight at 60 New Broad Street EC2. i think the early buyers are coming in ahead of it by the look of the movement after the announcement and mail out yesterday. | davidosh
08/9/2011 09:29 | AND the spread has narrowed (coincidence?) so whoever is giving tonights presentation will not have to face that embarassing question about the consolidation (fixing the spread). Anyway, it remains to be seen whether tonight will achieve anything for KIO but its nice to see they are at least trying various ways to get the message across.I look forward (with gusto) to reading next weeks interims. | spekky
08/9/2011 09:22 | Would be so nice to finally burst past the £1, this is my only company that pays a dividend but gets very little attention yet. Where is Mello by the way? | ljsquash
08/9/2011 08:43 | Small buy this morning, but at 94p we're getting very close to the Resistance that's been in place at £1 for the last 2 years. We're moving on little volume aswell so it wouldn't take much intest from mello tonight to see a break through the £1 barrier next week. | davydoo
07/9/2011 15:30 | Sounds like an interesting event,wish I could make it. | spekky
07/9/2011 13:08 | Done Only realised as I hit send, that I could have responded to you privately, oh well. Thanks again. | davydoo |
