28/5/2015 18:13 | Banging its head on 96 as we run into results. Some half-decent numbers coupled with the promised divi increase and a reasonable outlook statement and we should be off to the races in the next week or so. | lord gnome
28/5/2015 17:06 | It held (unlike England fielders tomorrow?) | toffeeman
28/5/2015 09:33 | Hussain is 17th in the list of England all time Test runs scored. Superb captain too. | rcturner2
28/5/2015 09:29 | Lol!! Looks like the fourth one in process as I type! Below 96 - where will it end the day? | toffeeman
27/5/2015 22:20 | Must of been flat if Hussain got runs | neilyb675

21/5/2015 07:54 | LG - the program was very interesting, it was discussing a different methodology to the relative poverty measure. Basically they went into the population and asked them what was a necessity and anything with an answer over 50% was included in a list of essentials (which included money to spend on celebrations!). Then if you did not have 3 necessities from the list that you wanted you were classed as in poverty! | rcturner2
21/5/2015 07:43 | And having to turn it on at least 10 minutes before you wanted to watch it! | skinny
21/5/2015 07:35 | RCT - LOL - I remember when 'poverty' was not owning a black and white telly, then it became a colour telly, now it's having broadband. The wonders of 'relative poverty' as opposed to absolute poverty. Progress of sorts, eh? | lord gnome
21/5/2015 06:34 | Part of the reason I bought in here at 80p was for the takeover possibility. KCOMs quad play bundles are apparently selling very well and you would have thought that this would be a good target for someone like BT who is much more focussed on delivering add on services to customers now. I think telecoms is a very solid defensive business to be in. I was listening to a program on radio 4 about poverty yesterday and apparently 85% of the population consider a broadband connection a necessity! | rcturner2
20/5/2015 21:27 | I have taken this paragraph from Peel Hunt Web site--- Mergers & Acquisitions Our M&A expertise comes from a dedicated and experienced team who can advise on all matters of both public and private M&A activity from targeting to strategy and best execution. 20/5/2015 20:41 | IMO Peel Hunt probably approached KCOM and offered them their services ......try us for 1 year free of charge, then after a year go with us and ditch Barcs. I expect that sort of thing happens a lot. | neilyb675
20/5/2015 20:19 | YES to TO but time will tell, why would Kcom appoint Peel Hunt as joint broker. | dealit
20/5/2015 17:35 | approached as in approached for a TO ?? | neilyb675
20/5/2015 17:23 | Interesting announcement today ""KCOM is pleased to announce the appointment of Peel Hunt LLP as its joint financial adviser and joint broker to the Company, alongside Barclays Bank PLC, with immediate effect."" Only a fought have Kcom been approached and appointed Peel Hunt for that reason, IMHO. | dealit |
