31/3/2010 08:04 | "Group performance remains in line with expectations with the substantial improvement in the performance of Kcom, our managed communications business, complementing the continued resilience of our Kingston Communications business. The Group will exit the financial year with significantly reduced bank debt and a net debt to EBITDA ratio of below two times, clearly underlining our commitment to continue to strengthen the Group's overall financial position." Looks good to me. | realcooltrader
30/3/2010 16:54 | Should be a Trading Statement tomorrow, there was one this time last year. | realcooltrader
24/3/2010 08:41 | Still acting the same way as THUS, Price is serverly cut back from 56p of last month, how low will they push it until we get that 120p offer. We live in hope | moneyman18
24/3/2010 06:52 | Just reflecting on the title of this thread, "kcom takeover looming nigh", started Dec 05! | septimus quaid
23/3/2010 18:15 | Telecoms article from TMF, thanks stokiecat: "At the other end of the table, we have a handful of companies providing telecoms services in direct competition with the big two. KCOM Group had interesting origins, starting life as the monopoly telecoms provider for Kingston-upon-Hull, famous for its cream-coloured telephone boxes at a time when the rest of the country was BT red. With its year ending this month, the shares are on a P/E of around 7.5, and a dividend yield of 3.5% is expected. That looks good value to me." Good to see the share price bounce off 45p..ish. | realcooltrader
12/3/2010 14:51 | Its very possible ONCE the Pension issue has been dealt with the company is free for an offer. It does look as if that is what is being prepared here. Simular to THUS Could be a 120p offer in 6 month time | moneyman18
12/3/2010 14:10 | i'd like to know if they are planning on selling the other 25 million. THat would create a serious overhang. If not it certianly explains why we've been dropping for the last few weeks | 5070481

12/3/2010 12:43 | realcooltrader - 12 Mar'10 - 11:48 - 1030 of 1030 Aberforth has sold 26.2m, wonder who bought them? ==================== Should be an RNS to follow covering that...unless they are to hide it from us! | optomistic

10/3/2010 12:18 | 7 x ebit, call it £400m = 77pps (This was roughly the level of the approach two years' ago, I recall.) | randolph and mortimer
03/3/2010 15:39 | And what do you think the MCAP should be ? | moneyman18
03/3/2010 15:31 | They earned £36m less £3m interest in the half year. Forget the amortisation and depreciation rubbish, that's all non-cash. If this out fit actually makes >£60m in cash terms pa, then £247 mkt cap is clearly wrong. | randolph and mortimer
24/2/2010 15:06 | Sounds like good news; So I guess the 10 % fall in the last few days is just a shake out. Hope so as I am still looking towards 80p levels Or has the Pesion scheme KCOM shares which they will sell ? | moneyman18
24/2/2010 14:51 | Courtesy of Jolly Farmers on ii: "yesterday KCOM announced to all staff that they are reviewing the pension arrangements and are entering into a 90 day consultation period. The ultimate aim being to reduce the £75M pension deficit and align the different schemes they have." | realcooltrader
22/2/2010 18:37 | Must have been a roll over | moneyman18
19/2/2010 16:19 | Tell me about it, been told I need reading glasses! Probably a rollover at an agreed fee. | realcooltrader
19/2/2010 16:12 | RCT, MAM same as you. My eyes had gone to the 5 sec time difference and it logged in as a price difference...it's the advancing years you know. LOL. I think that if they had both been buys they could have lifted the price just a touch more. | optomistic
19/2/2010 15:33 | Hi opto, where do you get your trade info from please, to show a small difference in those 2*1m trades? Both here and on MAM they show as 51.50p, but I know that some of my trades have gone to four decimal places, just not shown on here as such. (Agree they look like a rollover). | realcooltrader
19/2/2010 14:38 | 5070481, the 2*1 mill are at the same time with a very small price difference, the difference being the mm's profit. The other two are seperate trades and are priced in the buy range, I think without looking at the trades they were at above the offer price, probably because of their size. Hope that helps opto | optomistic
19/2/2010 14:16 | Still trying to learn to interpret trades. Why would you think the the 2*1mill are rollovers and not the other two trades and vice versa? are they certain things i should be looking out for? Thanks Al. | 5070481
19/2/2010 14:12 | 5070481, the 2*1mill trades do look like a rollover but the other two look good buys. Nice to see someone rolling over 1 mill, gives a bit of encouragement to some of us minnions :-) | optomistic
19/2/2010 14:07 | big buys just gone through for 1m,1m,800k and 600k. | 5070481
04/2/2010 11:07 | 25cents said he would be out at around 50 to 56p I guess he took his profits | moneyman18
04/2/2010 11:00 | not groundbreaking news yesterday but everything points to positive future. If management continue to deliver on promises as they are doing then the rise will continue | 5070481 |
