Once the confidence comes back to the market, we will all know because small caps (those that have survived that is) will be the first to recover with considerable gains made by those investorts that get in at the right time.

Hyper - I agree - the mcap is now just £1.1m. I hope that perhaps we're seeing the nadir of AIM at the moment, but who can tell, perhaps we're in for a period of moribundity on AIM until the credit situation eases.

cesc2,

I got it from the horses mouth. I was told they might issue one last Friday but generally that they dont send out annoucement at the end of the week so the likelyhood was it would be next week i.e this week instead.

Well that was me, the 60k buy just now, it knocked the offer back to 2p. I dumped my last shares in this at 8p last November, so not completely up to speed with news, but have followed the recent comment here. For a grand for 60k, it's worth a punt IMO. Any comments besides Mullah's usual rant about management?

Dire Cons,

Any interest from Dwyka would obviously be viewed as postive from a KIM shareholder point of view with Dwyka being a major shareholder and also having a presence on the board. Of course, any interest Dwka may have remains to be seen and is purely speculation at the moment and of course the other side of the coin is that Dwyka decides to cut its losses and run which would obviously be devastating for KIM and perhaps signify the beginning of the end.

Last time I spoke with someone from KIM, they implied pretty much that Dwyka had become less involved in the running of KIM - that may very well signify an air of confidence that Dwyka representatives have in KIM management being able to complete the job or it could be that they don't want to waste anymore energy and resources in KIM. I like to think that its the former rather than the latter or I'm certain Dwyka would have been parting with some of there 67m shares.

As far as a consipiracy theory between KIM and Dwyka share price, Take your pick of pretty much any AIM stock and you would get the same result.

If Dwyka already own half of KIM, they could nick the rest of the company for not much cash at this rate.

Anyone see a correlation between the dive in KIM's share price since the Dwyka deal?

Conspiracy theory????

kenmitch, seen it DWY looks good. Update due by 12th to the co and RNS shortly afterwards.

I have a small holding here due to the DWY connection. Will be interesting to see their next update.

Thanks dcroston for your post (657) that explains so clearly the current situation.

Seems that fans, me included, have not taken sufficient notice of your key point - worries that the cost of getting the diamonds out of the ground is more than they are getting from sales. If that is the case then presumably they will need to raise funds - not an attractive (or even plausible?) prospect with the share price so low and down yet again today.

No announcement yet - hope if/when it comes it includes some reassuring and long overdue financial information. That would surely give the shares a lift?

Interesting rumour of the day in The Times today

The Mullah

Got some MED yesterday, it's under the magic number. If you read my research on that thread, you will see that we may have a takeover, the company is looking for a buyer, could be way above current price. IMHO all that.

Wrong post HA, meant to be on NBR. About two years ago some listings were delisted because of market cap under the magic number.

Churchmouse has never delivered. Unlikely to deliver now. September for Tanzaian results. We will see. Dwyka must be delighted with the performance of their investment under churchmouse management.

bigwilly1986,

I agree that based on the mine resources/equipment which KIM own then you can consider the company as undervalued at £6m. But, obviously the real proof of any successful company is, can it make and sustain a profit. Its no use if the cost of extracting the diamonds out of the ground is more than the value you can sell them for and that is the nagging question.

Heres what I suspect is happening at the moment.

Bellsbank - producing nothing at the moment but will no doubt be costing a certain amount of money to manage and maintain.
SMI4 - Only producing at 35,000tpm which is not nearly enough to make a profit if cpht is not maintained at double the target level of 6cpht. Needs to produce a minimum of 50,000tpm at 6cpht according to the prospectus to realise a profit. Still waiting news on the plant upgrades to 150,000tpm have been achieved.

Blaauwbosch U/G - Very little action here as largely development going on to open up access to ore.

Blaauwbosch Tailings - Probably processing tailings at between 5,000tpm. Any profits made from tailings will largely be used to fund the U/G development. Still waiting on news that the upgrade to the plant has been completed to achieve the 11,000tpm target.

On a more positive note.

Newlands U/G - Plant is Processing at 7,000tpm which is current design capacity.
Newlands Tailings - Plant Processing at 23,000tpm
Nooitgedacht - Processing at 30,000tpm last time we heard anything but I guess some questions marks here because we havent had any update on diamond sales lately or production rates. Still waiting to here news on whether or not they will purchase a new plant to increase tpm capacity.

We are suppose to be coming out of the development phase now and proving that the design enhancements that were made (or are going to be made) have been a success. Then once production is in full swing, any potential investors will want proof that they are extracting the diamonds out of the ground cost effectively. Thats the big if really and thats what remains to be seen.

Most people probably think that they can invest their money more succesfully elsewhere and Market Makers are fairly ruthless at the moment and looking for blood even on any small amount of selling.

I'm sticking it out until hopefully KIM realises its potential but I think I may have quite a wait yet.

Hyper I am in DWY so have been watching here. Yesterdays fall was completely unwarranted. They do this sometimes. Just taking advantage. Looks like the bottom. If you have funds why not top up. It ticked up on my 50k buy not exactly huge so it will not take much to get it moving back up IMO etc etc.
