call-logger it's my fault it died really as i had to take a few months off trading to sell my business in terms of my real fund btw, it has gone okay but not great. it is now over 170% up on the original stake but should be much higher than that now my next trade is going to be back to the first one, with the whole amount on AMEX:RTK

Well, if they'd been playing by the original rules they would have lost a third of their money in June 06. As it is, under their new rules, they never picked a next share so presumably are still in cash. With a lot of the shares picked I suspect that's the best move they could have made - the selection process might as well have been "What is currently the most ramped stock on ADVFN?" It's a shame these exercises die a death but this place is so short-termist that you could tell that once the first stock didn't double within a fortnight that people lost interest.

Praipus,it is my largest holding! This co. has a 2007 drilling programme to include up to 8 drills and over 60m Euro in the bank. Have a look at PVR-The Irish Explorer thread or providenceresources.com if you have time.

call-logger take a look at ECWC and remember it is still trading at 20% below undiluted NAV! Since the first investment made in ECWC on the 22/4/05 its up 114%! However I think a new thread should be introduced entitled "Where to Invest a child's trust fund".

One year on and this thread is as dead as a pancake. Presumably the remaining cash has made about a tenner in interest after the last sale but that's not going to make your kids millionaires How are your real funds doing?

ROC doing well was 164p on 6th of June, it did dip a little, now it is 186p, up 12%, and there is a good RNS today, with more possible.

ROC is an AIM share here but can be included in an ISA because it is listed on the Australian stock exchange. When the next round starts put me down for ROC. They are an oil company. I think Oil shares are going to remain strong. The Russians think oil is going to be progressivly more expensive. ROC's share price is managing to continue to rise even in this bad market. ROC have some good prospects. It is worth listening to the latest presentation http://www.rocoil.com.au/Public/Investor_Centre/Presentations.aspx I was especially interested by Angola http://www.rocoil.com.au/Public/Activities/West_Africa/Angola_(Cabindia).aspx Also nice is thata the ROC bulletin board shows overnight action down under, which gives an indication of which way the price is going. And of course everyone is hoping for a succesful outcome in China.

SPT Reason: Spirent's fortunes are linked to the growth of both wired and wireless networks. There is also a lot of merger activity in the sector.

SOCO could be good for a big rise over the next few months, though doubling might be difficult.
