"Broker finnCap noted that the acquisition has come a bit late in the current financial year, but it should have a more pronounced effect next year.

“In addition to operational synergies to provide greater scale and breadth of service, we also see opportunities for cost synergies, whereby Keywords existing geographic footprint can be used effectively, most significantly in Montreal and Tokyo,” the broker said.

Meanwhile, Numis Securities upgraded its 2017 earnings per share forecasts by 5% on the back of the acquisition and nudged up its price target to 555p from 525p.

No change has been made to its forecasts for the current year, as Enzyme will only contribute over the quiet Christmas period.

“We continue to believe that Keywords is extremely well positioned in an attractive growth market,” Numis said."

Still can't get a quote to buy - some big trades gone through mid price since and then ticked up so stock seems very short in supply (I can get quote to sell). They will just have to raise the price!

Agreed saucepan. Looking very good from charts and presently I can't get a quote to buy so stock must be short. I added earlier and will watch with interest today!

I had a hunch that the silly price action earlier in the week was an attempt to shake out stock ahead of good news.

Another terrific development. New highs surely beckon.

If you look at the makeup of Enzyme - a lot of non fee earners there which will deliver cost savings.

Yep. Paying C$5.4m and getting a business earning C$1.3m in return, plus C$2.3m net assets - together with the quoted synergies - seems like a fabulous deal. And highly earnings-enhancing as it's paid for from cash.

After the most recent update, an excellent time to top up on weakness in my view and that's what I've done early this morning. I'm taking a long term view here and have been building an increasing holding since June. Obviously I'm relatively new to this share but it's economic moat with relatively few competitors of size, excellent management, trading upgrades, general industry growth, and accretive acquisition opportunities means that I currently rate KWS a very attractive long term investment. I await with interest how this plays out. Regards

Entertaining stuff. Can currently sell 10k (at least) on line but no quote for anything above 1k on the buy side.

As I intimated above, and knowing Keywords' track record, I suspect it won't be long before we are also factoring in further earnings enhancing acquisitions :-)

So, a minimum of Euros 14m PBT with 15% of the year still to go. I wonder what we could reasonably expect KWS to beat this by?
