13/6/2012 16:25 | Im a very long term holder, i wouldnt sell at 2p premium to the cash offer price as the mm's must think a 3rd offer will be made, if it doesnt then you will get 106 anyway | millse
13/6/2012 15:04 | I just got a quote of 108p to sell. Tempting. | gerdmuller
13/6/2012 14:30 | Looks like you can sell over the bid price. Interesting times but I think this bid will get it. But then again I thought the last bid was a done deal. | gerdmuller
13/6/2012 11:49 | Can we rule out Kinetic having another bite at the cherry? | man overbored
13/6/2012 11:23 | Keel Hunt says 111p. Must be expecting a 3rd bid to split the difference again. For Kewill's tight market focus, mix of SaaS, and deep connections to Oracle's US customer base could easily spur 5p more (ain't over till the fat lady sings). | erpguru
13/6/2012 09:30 | I was on the verge of selling half of these when the bid came in. Sometimes you just get lucky. | gerdmuller
12/6/2012 20:40 | Where did that come from? I think there was talk about Investec being behind the previous bid at 130p. | gerdmuller
12/6/2012 18:36 | £1.06 in cash for each Kewill Share - do I hear any more? | erpguru
04/5/2012 08:38 | You are right about the scales and costs. The company is currently organised regionally so there is a replication of expensive senior managers in each of 3 regions. Each region is like a separate business. There are no benefits of scale as each region sells only their own products. Nichols is completely toothless and lets each region do its own thing. The US products are primarily licensed rather than SaaS, so they need to bring in a lot of new name customers just to stand still each year. Europe has a high proportion of recurring revenue, but is appalling at winning new name customers. | qwerty124
03/5/2012 22:45 | Senior Mgmt failed to come to grips with back-fitting Web 2.0 into the product and business model for scale at lower cost. FP picked up many in the same boat. | erpguru
02/5/2012 14:40 | Agreed - you are right about 1.30, couldn't remember. I expect FP will change their management team (if they can find them on the golf course), strip out some bits, maybe merge something else into them and refloat on Nasdaq in a couple of years. They have a high proportion of recurring revenue which will get recognised better in the US. I think it will probably be good for the staff and customers, as well as shareholders. Pleased to get out too! | qwerty124
02/5/2012 11:34 | Qwerty, Held these for 3 or 4 years now but lost interest in these some time ago but I think the last bid was 130. I used to hold DTK and the same firm bought them not long ago and see below a recent post on the DTK thread. LOL.. Taken out for $77.4M, and within 18 months, sold to 3M for $230M. Me thinks the PIs got shafted here in hindsight ! KWL looks almost like a done deal to me though as you can practically get the bid price today and I won't be sorry to see them go. But you never know. | gerdmuller
02/5/2012 11:07 | This is the only way any shareholders are likely to get any value back for the foreseeable future. Quite a come down from the bid 2 years ago - was that £1.50? The current management team have a lot to answer for. | qwerty124
02/5/2012 09:49 | Going for a song.I'm certainly underwater from way back. | mikey34
02/5/2012 09:28 | Its been a rollercoaster over the years. I remember when it traded below 10p with about 30p per share in cash. Didnt it trade at over £30 once as well ? | arsene5
02/5/2012 09:24 | Any chance that another bid might come along? My feeling is not, but might hang on for a bit in case. Haven't had time to read the doc in detail but can't see a timetable. KWL has been underwhelming in everyway. | tratante
02/5/2012 09:20 | 5118 posts after I sold my shares. | caveat_emptor
02/5/2012 09:13 | The header says £1 by 2006; I am surprised its still there 6 years later! | arsene5
02/5/2012 08:47 | me too but glad to see the back of them | alter ego
02/5/2012 08:40 | Being a long term holder this will be a massive loss to me. | heliweli
12/4/2012 09:21 | The profit warning was very disappointing, but not a surprise. This company has stalled and desperately needs a change at the top. There has been much churn over the last year in the level below CEO/COO, as they have lost confidence in the senior management. What now needs to happen is for Nichols, Dolan and Boast to go. They have all been in the company too long and have run out of road. | qwerty124
03/4/2012 12:28 | Those deals on the web site look like relatively small ones to me, welcome nonetheless but if they had been the big ones I think we would have had an RNS. GerdMuller - pffft, nonsense. Companies are obliged to release price sensitive news as soon as they are aware of it, close period or not. And we haven't had a pre-close statement from Kewill yet, last year it was on 21 April. | blah blah
02/4/2012 13:10 | Contracts have been announced on their web page the latest one on 28 March with NSX - see Kewill news | jordon
02/4/2012 11:57 | That could be the case but in a closed period after the trading statement it is normal practice not to issue statements which may move the price. But you never know with this one. | gerdmuller |
