Posted at 17/7/2012 20:22 by rshome Received the kwl sell proceeds today in my broker account. |
Posted at 21/6/2012 15:03 by praipus erpguru I dont know KWL very well but my understanding is they write their own software. So each sale means 100% profit in theory so that £60m sales turnover is probably full of strippable costs I think the bidder should be paying nearer 3 x t/o IMHO |
Posted at 20/6/2012 14:12 by praipus First Eagle seem to be putting another managed fund into KWL, picking up 3% using Lolaire Investors Limited Partnership |
Posted at 02/5/2012 11:34 by gerdmuller Qwerty, Held these for 3 or 4 years now but lost interest in these some time ago but I think the last bid was 130.I used to hold DTK and the same firm bought them not long ago and see below a recent post on the DTK thread. LOL.. Taken out for $77.4M, and within 18 months, sold to 3M for $230M. Me thinks the PIs got shafted here in hindsight ! KWL looks almost like a done deal to me though as you can practically get the bid price today and I won't be sorry to see them go. But you never know. |
Posted at 02/5/2012 09:24 by tratante Any chance that another bid might come along? My feeling is not, but might hang on for a bit in case. Haven't had time to read the doc in detail but can't see a timetable. KWL has been underwhelming in everyway. |
Posted at 31/3/2012 10:14 by gleach23 I've not been in KWL for a long time but will add to my watchlist following Schwartz's article. For those with access - |
Posted at 25/1/2012 14:21 by tratante Kwl rather unloved, any one still watching these? Thoughts? |
Posted at 17/2/2011 15:07 by gerdmuller Is it my imagination or are these slowly moving up? This looks like a breakout by KWL standards.Must get my eyes tested again! |
Posted at 10/2/2011 10:08 by gerdmuller Gerardp,I am interested in your remark about revenue generation per employee which is about £100,000 per employee for KWL. Do you have some sort of industry benchmark in order to compare this with other sectors or companies? |
Posted at 19/11/2010 12:54 by gerdmuller Well finally something sensible, they must have heard me. What happened with KWL was just ridiculous.Under the new proposals by the UK Takeover Panel, potential buyers would be named in the announcement commencing an offer period, and must announce a firm intention to make an offer or not within four weeks of the start of the offer period. |
