16/12/2008 17:10 | Keep on shorting this and HMV We can do another DSGI (BTW DSGI up 50% since we stopped) But annoying DSG is at 15 the Nomura buy note was meaning we could go long on it in safety and delay delisting for a final short. No point in doing anything but this and HMV. I know we finished it but Morse, I shorted it again!!!! | mryesyes

16/12/2008 11:38 | Surely a lot of stock they will mark down in stores to sell over xmas and new year sales will be sold at a loss, and looking ahead next year, its hard to see how they can be any better off until high street conditions pick up and people start spending at prices which they can make a profit at. So really dont see even at this price how Goldman Sachs has this down as a buy. In fact there is prob still too many places selling electrical goods out there on the high street. | lindseyc
17/10/2008 17:17 | Shares in electrical retailer Kesa Electricals moved higher after the company was moved to Goldman Sachs' 'conviction buy' list. The broker said it was upgrading its recommendation on the Comet owner in light of recent share price declines. The company has seen its share price fall by more than 70% since July. Its value fell sharply after September 10 when it reported a heftier than expected 4.7% drop in like for like sales over the three months to 31 July as trading conditions deteriorated across all its markets. Kesa also owns the Darty electricals chain in France. | knowing

20/1/2008 18:32 | KK What are the chances that the money from the sale of BUT would be distributed to the shareholders? | andrewlewis
19/1/2008 11:38 | Not bad results at all. This share will depend completely on macro conditions. If the FTSE picks up this will rally, if not it will tank. Doesn't matter how solid the company is. Fact is a lot of inst. own it so whenever they realign their portfolios from retail this will be sold. Although retail seemed to rally on Friday... | kunalkoth
19/1/2008 07:32 | Kesa's risen 20% this week. How much further will it go...260p? Or will it fill that gap back to 191 first? | merob
17/1/2008 08:59 | kk Not bad results considering the rest of the retail electrical market. Also the BUT sale seems to be going through. Any further thoughts on a possible takeover? Thanks for keeping in touch. | andrewlewis
14/1/2008 20:13 | kk Looks like Deutsche Bank has picked up another 7%. Maybe there is something in their holdings? | andrewlewis
12/1/2008 20:25 | Don't think it'll be THAT bad. France has been only slightly affected by consumer slowdown. If you are comparing DSG to KESA remember that DSG's electrical sales were flat and only the Italian operation and PC World were the disappointments - none of which KESA are exposed to. Darty in France is a very high margin business and has a loyal customer following. It is their John Lewis for electrical retail - and John Lewis are doing rather well. | kunalkoth
08/1/2008 10:04 | gg If things look so bad why has Deutsche Bank pick up so many shares in the last few days? | andrewlewis
