11/9/2015 07:31 | Nice contract win. | rovers2
10/9/2015 09:13 | as referenced in 'trends and targets' the market seems to be working hard to keep KBC suppressed. We certainly have been held @ 113p far too long. If we are able to find a new support level at 129p we have cracked it. | noble3r
10/9/2015 08:58 | Sudden flurry of buying here. Waking up to the fact that the interims are in a couple of weeks? | gargoyle2
09/9/2015 13:12 | Nice to get views from a stock chartist. Over a 6m period we are outperforming our sector as a collective. However the drop off in volume recently does lend towards the possibility of the market not responding well to the interim financials due 23rd Sept. I topped up 3 times today nonetheless | noble3r
09/9/2015 12:46 | Replace xxx with three i's | gargoyle2
09/9/2015 12:31 | [...] if the above doesn't work then go onto the discussion forum of KBC on interactive investor 'trends and targets' | noble3r
09/9/2015 12:06 | Can you post that link again please..? | gargoyle2
09/9/2015 11:46 | not endorsing merely posting link: [...] | noble3r
31/8/2015 08:26 | my analysis was all purely speculation. There were some chunky trades put through at the end of last week. Since KBC's share price reacted well to the initial downturn in oil & gas market (our service enables more efficiency and productivity) I would have expected it to regain its retrace from 130p to 110p pretty quickly. Interims are issued in Sept which will provide us with an update. I'm excited about seeing what effect our affiliation with Kongsberg may have had. | noble3r
30/8/2015 08:33 | Thanks noble3r. Given Oliver Scott's directorship here, I think it's the case that Kestrel would be required to notify the company (and the market) after every trade, rather than just when percentage thresholds are crossed (which would apply to other IIs). If you're right about Kestrel, then we should expect to find out next week. | gargoyle2
28/8/2015 12:11 | It seems an institutional investor maybe offloading and top slicing their holdings . I wouldn't be surprised if kestrel is the culprit since they made reference in their july fund fact sheet that they were trimming one of their top holdings after a prolonged rise in share price Since all other stocks in this sector are rising this can be the only reason why we are being held back at this level of 113p | noble3r
26/8/2015 15:41 | I couldn't resist topping up at this new buying opportunity. Remains at BUY for me at these levels | noble3r
25/8/2015 14:01 | My buy is showing as a sell?? Not sure why? | natdavis667
14/8/2015 05:33 | Just looking again at this in the latest trading update: "Whilst there are certain slowdowns and discretionary cost reductions in some segments of the industry, from a KBC standpoint these are balanced by a shift in sector spending to operational efficiency and production optimisation initiatives, as well as stronger performance in parts of the refining segment due to improving refining margins. With its strengths in these areas, KBC is well placed to take advantage of this shift in investment." KBC is clearly not totally immune to the oil price slowdown (they had a 10% reduction in workforce recently), but I wonder if the fact that oil prices seem likely to stay low for the foreseeable future (China slowdown, OPEC supply increasing, Iran back on stream, etc.) is shaping up to play right to KBC's strengths.. | gargoyle2
13/8/2015 18:48 | RNS came out after your post Gar. Agreed, very positive indeed. | rovers2
13/8/2015 18:07 | Thanks rovers, my mistake :) Very positive news imo. | gargoyle2
13/8/2015 17:50 | Make that Goldman at 8%, Gargoyle2. | rovers2
13/8/2015 16:14 | This is getting interesting. Kestrel increasing, Goldman taking 7%, now Coltrane increasing from 5.79% to 8.5% (the RNS is confusing as it shows the same number of shares for both before and after the transaction -- Coltrane actually held 4,765,000 shares previously). Good to see. | gargoyle2
12/8/2015 22:17 | Protean, understood thanks. I'm a long term holder here, just never come across KBC news that often. This is one of those sleepy stocks in my portfolio that steadily increases with no exciting spikes.... I'm ok with that?? | natdavis667
12/8/2015 12:53 | GTC was ST's other pick. | protean
12/8/2015 12:40 | natdavis667 - the IC have a copyright policy I don't fancy breaching. Basically ST reckons it is one of 2 stand out value picks in the oil & gas sector, thinks there is clear value on offer here and points out the potential chart breakout. 165p target. | protean
12/8/2015 12:33 | Protean, can you copy and paste the article on this board for non-subscribers pls? | natdavis667
12/8/2015 11:31 | Protean, thanks. | brucie5 |
