More misinformation from the press.Grasberg may have resumed concentrate production but it is only 40% of their max capacity,enough just to feed the Indonesian smelter.
Escondida ,the worlds largest mine is still on strike and talks might have resumed but both parties are far apart.
Cerro Verde the 3rd largest copper mine is on indefinite strike.
Ontop of this Peru has suffered severe floods washing away 1km of a key railway line supplying copper to the coastal ports.Repairs cannot start until the water recedes which is a long way off as the rains are forecast to last through April.The railway line will take at least 15 days to repair.
