I've just had the corporate actions note from TD Waterhouse and voted not to accept the offer.

Closing date on my note was 31-1-12.

imo it's a stitch-up. The main parties have done a deal not to tread on each other's feet and then they'll share the spoils post-deal, having got a terrific resource on the cheap. EXT may say no but KAH will already have gone.

Trebles all round.

Cant get my head around this why there has been no other interest by now. Looks like Rio have gone quiet and so have everyone else.
What does everyone think of the scenario that CGNPC will get rejected with 1st offer and then succeed at 270p?

Excerpt from todays' EXT announcement:

Taurus has been granted relief by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission
("ASIC") to acquire an interest of more than 20% of Extract's shares provided that, among
other conditions, Taurus makes a downstream offer for Extract (the "Proposed Extract
Offer"). Taurus is required to dispatch offer documentation to Extract shareholders within
four weeks of Taurus having received acceptances of the Kalahari Offer in respect of
more than 50% of the voting rights in Kalahari. The Proposed Extract Offer will only be
conditional upon Taurus becoming unconditionally entitled to shares carrying more than
50% of the voting rights in Kalahari, and standard prescribed occurrences as set out in the
Corporations Act not having occurred.
Extract's Independent Directors are continuing to review all available opportunities to
maximise shareholder value, and intend to make a recommendation in relation to the
Proposed Extract Offer if and when such an offer is made

Good, at least we get the chance to reject the offer now, out of principle if nothing else. Even if I only have a few shares directly in this.....

If I had some extra/spare cash, post xmas that I didn't need for other opportunities, I'd think about buying some more, just so I could feel I've done my bit by rejecting the offer on a few more shares.

dyor etc.....

Taurus has received irrevocable undertakings from the Kalahari Directors representing, in aggregate, approximately 2.2 per cent. of the issued share capital of Kalahari, to accept the Offer.

Good luck with that.

The Offer will remain open for acceptance until 1.00 p.m. (London time) on 2 February 2012

A good link that highlights just a fraction of the prospects of NRRP as a company and the silly low share price imo.Whoever ends up with those shares they will not be giving them away!

"Kalahari, through its circa 45% interest in North River Resources, has exposure to the Ubib Copper/Gold Project which is located 15km south-west of Namibia's longest producing gold mine, the four million ounce Navachab Gold Mine. A 1.4km of laterally continuous gold in soil anomaly has been identified within a Ferruginous shear zone. Best rock chip assay from the targeted drill area returned 10 g/t Au and 1.6 g/t Ag.

A total of 10 DD holes (2 abandoned) were completed for 2,209.6m testing two soil anomalies, the first over 1km of strike and the second, 1.7km to the NE, over 400m of strike. All holes returned elevated gold values with best assays being:

• 1.25 m @1.17 g/t Au, 1.86 g/t Ag, 0.1% Pb

• 3m @ 3.74 g/t Au, 1.56 g/t Ag.

• 2.25m @ 5.97g/t Au, 1.86 g/t Ag

The drilling in the NE lies in close proximity to a major thrust and it may have potential for greater mineralised widths than have been intersected to date. Evidence of chlorite/amphibolite/ hematite/sulphide alteration within quartzites at this locality suggests a major hydrothermal system exists in the area. Defining potential mineralisation associated with this alteration zone will form the focus of exploration going forward."

Add The three jv`s and other projects ,ie the lead zinc...etc.. Got to be a bargain...

From the offer RNS:

"-- It is intended that the Offer is to be effected by means of a takeover offer within the meaning of Part 28 of the Companies Act. The Offer Document, containing further information about the Offer, together with the Form of Acceptance, will be posted to Kalahari Shareholders and (for information purposes only) to holders of Options as soon as practicable (and, in any event, not later than 5 January 2012 unless otherwise agreed with the Panel). "

So we should get something soon.

The Henderson announcements are not "sit up and take notice" as they are so low in %....It makes you wonder what is really happening behind the scene..

We know they must reach over 50% and to achieve that they will need at least a couple of Major S/H's, the BOD's, and some casuals....

CGNPC have been talking to the KAH BOD and we must assume the M/Sh's to reach some agreement...If they have assurances from them to achieve near 50% this would devalue the importance of the task Henderson are carrying out.

We return to our position of waiting for the offer in early Jan 2012....
