I reckon we have not heard the last of Montara 'issues' - until Ak. is properly set up and motoring, any impact from Montara is potentially too significant for the Co. to absorb, at least as far as current shareholders are concerned. It may be a blessing in disguise if they do not succeed with the reverse takeover since they have demonstrated they do not have a good handle on how to navigate a financially stretched situation and the cause of the same. A much larger transaction of the type contemplated seems a step too far.

As a shareholder in previously cash rich Serica, their Tailwind acquisition was all about management keeping their jobs and making SQZ unattractive as a takeover target. It lacked any imagination, yes great write downs, but all your profits taxed away.
If the deal is structured as a reverse takeover akin to HBR / Wintershell than JSE shares in all likelihood should be "fairly valued" based on "intrinsic/replacement/market value". HBR shares were valued at 360p for reverse takeover purposes for their recent deal when trading close to 200p - a near 80% premium!!! SteMiS13 Feb '24 - 08:49 - 20961 of 20989 0 0 0 But presumably will leave Woodside with a majority stake in JSE (unless they can place some of the shares) and a lot of the upside dependant on how expensive/cheap are the assets they acquire. Effectively would dilute some of the upside (to the extent it materialises) from the existing assets...
Fromw what i have been reading a reverse takeover takes 1 to 3 months
No SteMis,it's classified as a reverse takeover, due to the size of the acquisition being larger than JSE ie JSE is the smaller fish,Woodside don't want a stake in JSE.
Thought that RNS was going to be the CWLH completion - a bit surprised. If Jadestone get themselves in pole position the acquisition will take a long time, reverse takeover, admission documents etc etc. Wouldn't be surprised if a chunk of cashflow got knocked off the price eventually. You have got to assume that Tyrus are on board with the move ....
Up against Carlyle and hibiscus. So three left in it. Jadestone would appeal as upside in stock from a reverse takeover.
Then it's a question of price. Harbour managed to get a significant premium in recent reverse takeover.

It happens - the Hotel Chocolat takeover at a 100% premium to then price is a good recent example on the LSE from late 2023!!! JSE did mess up with Montara and now additional costs to ensure reliable production... however, the share price more than compensates for the same!!! spawny10015 Jan '24 - 14:02 - 20630 of 20632 0 2 0 Shares are rarely insanely cheap for no reason ash.
May be a serica takeover target at 64p ? Judging by the over reaction on the market .The share price will stagnate and this will be taken out !

The troll is at it again - giving some low ball estimates as to SP. SP should be north of 60p yesterday... And I am not being a ramper... 2p reserves in low tax/premium to brent crude - mega project with a 10 year life coming online, placing at 45p when situation far more dire / production lower and Akatara production a year away etc etc. I am hoping for 50-60p by year end if crude perks up.. Perhaps 40p if crude is not north of $80 at Brent of $90 plus I would think 60p by year end is achievable... The newly bought online barrels are unhedged and any uplift in crude will add strongly to the bottom line. Also expect a pleasant financial status update post the upcoming large lifting in December 2023 :) Also believe JSE is a takeover target at these levels... and wouldn't be surprised if a cheeky low ball offers shows up....
