Hi TT2. I see you are expecting a takeover. From what angle. Another processor or from miner wanting the mine on the cheap and selling off the processing arm.
how can it be shorted for a cheap takeover when the majority of the shares are PI owned. My only going concern is how do they get the ii's back on board? They will want to get their hands on millions of shares at a time yet there are not many floating around. My point being that they may try to issue new shares to these II's in return for more funding. Yet the catch being JLP should not really need to do this as they should have enough money coming in from projects (especially once the debt is paid off) and with colin hinting at using Tjate as a "mortgage". So how would they justify a placement, to the dissmay of the long term holders, to benefit the new II's

GLR is exploring we are making money and lots of it!It wouldn't surprise me if this is being shorted for a cheap takeover
I have no idea - I said I "yearn for" Personally i expect a merger or takeover Too undervalued
the pain will continue unless there is a major bit of news. we are the suffering as a result of world politics, low Pt sp, awful PR, recent placing. It makes me wonder if there is something going on in the background from a takeover point of view. Who stands to gain from a low sp? I am going to write to the dynamic duo today and demand better PR and some credible answers.
There are a lot of indications that many of these contract details have been done on the back of fag packets. A collation of details of the deals would be wise. Since such a document does not appear to exist, we can deduce that there is no takeover on the cards. Impossible to sell the company with such obfuscation. Clarity, clarity, claret, a glass of, oooohh don't mind if do.
A takeover? At a very large premium to the current price, I shouldn't wonder?
Bull A few different folks. I am so pissed off with this underperforming pile of shite that I am seriously contemplating dumping half my stock. I am not sure what will get this going apart from a takeover. Bring it on !

Takeover Coming
Actually, according to LSE hxxp://www.lse.co.uk/financial-diary.asp?date=29-MAR-2017&mode=week there are no interim's to be posted! check it out. Although Allergy Therapeutics is due, followed that one for many years in case SmithKline finally go for a takeover.
Hi TM, morning, my overall average is less than where we are now but my recent purchases are not looking so clever! Still, I am in profit. As for an exit strategy, I am firmly of the opinion that this will be dictated by a takeover some time this year. I cannot see the big miners letting Tjate get away. The problem they have is that there are no inti holdings in here so that makes it difficult for them to make an approach. To gather enough stock to go hostile would be very difficult. I would expect an approach sooner rather than later as the sp can really only go up medium to long term. Also, the potential suitor does not know who else is circling. Col and Leon are very quite at the moment, I wonder what is going on? Sometime before the end of the long summer break would be my guess. That said, if someone offered me 20p for my not inconsiderable holding then I would be off. Maybe that is how they will do it? frog
Those who have been here for a while will remember the failed takeover of Chemstoff. From below it looks like Chemstoff are part owners of Platcro? Not sure how to post the link, but see extract from 2011 copied and pasted. Mining exploration and development company Jubilee Platinum (JBL), which is listed on London's AIM and the JSE, said on Tuesday that it was to acquire Chemstof for 65.5 million rand. Through the acquisition, Jubilee would secure near-term platinum concentrate for its Middelburg smelter facilities - taking it a step closer to becoming a platinum producer. The deal would see Jubilee acquire 51% of the ordinary shares of Chemstof, which holds the operating chrome beneficiation plant, and 59% of the ordinary shares in Platcro Minerals, which holds the mining and prospecting rights to the near surface reefs.
Nash81, re poet 14984. I don't about a takeover, but if they are looking for a platinum play in SA, they must be keeping an eye on developments at Tjate, possible partners?

Tjate's neighbours are surging, Impala is +4% and Amplats +5% so far at the open. Meanwhile Lonmin is up 8% - with whom JLP are working on JVs and toll smelting, so it is believed. I've a feeling JLP is going to have a good day

Avatar LOL ! Shafts. sorry it won't happen again! Google hurt feelings by flight of the conchords. It's a classic!Freedom . are you familiar with the term hostile takeover ?
nice to see you too sharenotes. alwaysevoloving, I mentioned 30p because i cannot see how we will not be in the sights of a takeover this year. I just don't see how we will remain independent. As for the other thread and the accusations of having an agenda, well it is beyond me. I stopped posting a while ago because I got so tired of it. I have put some sensible posts on there (and a couple of silly ones for fun) and now the twat moderates me again, then he denies it and removes the moderation. From now on I will only post here, filter those that annoy me, and occasionally pop over to the sycophants thread to wind Barnes up. Just because I am that sort of bloke that don't like getting pushed around.
using the word satisfactory in the summing up is the reason the price just reacted like like it did. It is high time we employed someeone to write an RNS that is not ambiguous and also more upbeat. Cue the folks saying that he did this to put off any prospective takeover!
Many still not aware that JLP is primed for takeover target. hopefully news will spread soon to others.
what was the sp and market cap when JLP first received takeover bid? hTTp://www.jubileeplatinum.com/rns_pdf/2011/preliminary-discussions200511.pdf
potential JV partner/takeover would be from LMI, Sibanye, Anglo. what about mitsubishi?
This has takeover written all over it now, that much is clear.
A new day a new way. After that dismal display yesterday by the AIM market what can we expect from the JLP BoD. First a webcast or interview telling us about the license and then what preparation plans they must have in place for a Tjate JV. If they have not got these in place by now then they need to go on a management course. Let's face it the ML was expected around Xmas so lets hear what they have planned and already negotiated. Is the 'M' or 'A' team waiting to make that JV announcement? Will they spin Tjate off into a separate company, similar to what happened to Ironveld and SLP? It is obvious that the value of JLPs assets is not showing in its Mcap at the moment and it is in danger of a predatory takeover. (Are you getting ready Northam. Someone like SLP/Samancor could even buy and sell off its parts for a fast profit and end up with Hernic). So act fast LC/CB you may not have much time. GLA
is jlp now a takeover target?
well i am hanging on to mine for a bit, must be a good takeover target now.
40-50p seems very unlikely to me and we are getting our hopes up if we think it will get there, especially as we are due another market crash. If we get the ML and some deal with mitz or other, then maybe a more realistic target or takeover target would be 25p.
