Mal, not expecting news, just more volume and someone cleverly building a stake. Watching L2 and how the AT trades are going through it's obvious someone is trying to get their hands on stock. They will take stock via DMA and AT trades only when there is plenty on the offer so they can leave some behind making sure share price doesn't tick up. Then it's a waiting game for someone else to put more stock on the offer. Then they are snapped up but again leavening enough behind to remain unticked. Screamingly obvious someone is building a large position.

Perhaps JPR are totally genuine when they release the know of no operational or corporate reason for the rise in the share price RNSIf someone was stake building, the JPR board wouldn't necessarily be made aware on day 1. If a hostile takeover is in the early stages, again JPR BoD wouldn't be aware. With only 105m shares in issue it will only take a 3m shares purchased by a new buyer before a notice of holdings would have to be announced. If it's CA, that is also a massive buy signal. They may be going for 10% so they can call an EGM to oust director(s)Lots of ifs but they're all transformational for the SP

Well evidently the chairman hasn't given AH the cardboard box and memento stapler just yet - if it's a plot, I reckon it'll be a weekend meeting and then announcement on Monday. Then sky rocketing share price (I know you like predictions dazz.) Either that or complete fizzle out and carry on as we were, slow drift down, slowly sinking, almost rising, sinking, sinking, rights issue, yelping, more sinking.

Oh Eddie I'd hate to see you when your cross, your so dammed right, they are acting like some local council on the latest rise on stray dog figures.I do wish to say I am, though it's never easy to say, saddened at my imperfections of my personnel traits and not buying shed loads yesterday but I did venture before the free for all this morning.That said it's cheering to the heart to see movement the right way.In the real world apart from their catalytic therapy what will they offer / achieve with just over 22% ?

Agreed though i suppose the 2nd part of the Rns offered a bit of hope...and the large volume AT buys going through was certainly interesting...

I'm sure they'd say that a rise like that compels them to make an RNS but why haven't they got a short piece in one of their own papers saying that they're gratified that the market recognises the potential value in the UK's fourth largest publisher and are happy to see the share price begin to return to fair value? What about a bit of BALANCE? What about acting like a media company and communicating with investors?

Liberum is the jpr broker. Interesting that the jpr board doesn't see things the same way as their own broker.
