Hargreaves Lansdown Plc (HL.) issued their results today and they are very good. Bodes well for Jarvis's Dividend declaration in a months time. I am usualy a 'buy and hold' merchant, but even I have traded more than usual trying to get a grip of what is happening. We have had three months of volitility and more to come ! so the pundits predict.

MSLH - a Zulu in the making?

5 years earnings growth.

Eps up 26% in 2013, 46% in 2014. Earnings forecast to grow at 38% and 27% respectively over the next two years - average earnings growth of 30%+ per annum.

fwd PE 21 but the co has already said earnings are likely to beat this year

PEG circa 0.7 or lower.

The 'something new' being the new CEO who is transforming this co into an innovative forward thinking co rather than the 'same old slabs' that it used to be - some great tech enhanced products now on their much modernised website.

Positive trading update from the co.

Strong financial position, small mkt cap. Fuly listed and a better than 2% yield going forward.

Has a lot if not all of the zulu qualities imo.

Hargreaves Lansdown have today followed Jarvis in announcing a special dividend.

Times must be rosy for brokers and yet they are totaly under the radar !.

Transaction in Own Shares

The Company announces that, on 27 August 2015, it acquired 30,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 408 pence per share to hold in Treasury.

The Company now has in issue 11,150,250 Ordinary Shares, of which 61,000 are held in Treasury. Therefore the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights is 11,089,250, the figure which may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

The Company will continue to purchase its own shares for Treasury when appropriate, and in accordance with the authority granted by its Members.

Finally, the Company anticipates declaring an additional interim dividend on 24 July 2015 and an announcement on this matter this will be made then.

Highlights:



· Revenue increased by £242,711 (6.5%) to £3,978,543 (six months ended 30 June 2014: £3,735,832)



· Profit before tax increased by £113,510 (6.7%) to £1,795,379 (six months ended 30 June 2014: £1,681,869)



· Cash under administration has increased 14.3% compared to 30 June 2014



· Client numbers have increased 7% compared to 30 June 2014



· Special dividend of 10p per ordinary share paid to shareholders on 16 July 2015

Well it would be nice to read in tomorrows interims that Jarvis have taken a interest in one of these 'crowd funding' companies.



But as an Off Topic I see that a produce i use is trying the crowd funding route and it may be of interest to someone !. I have no connections other than buying the 'seaweed' and no money to invest myself.
